The Songbook (RC)

i write a lot of songs, but this is one of my only poems not meant for music. let me know what you think...

The Songbook

I'm hopelessly addicted
To writing songs about the way I feel
When everything around me crumbles
When all you are is all but real

And all the times I thought I'd made it
Only to come running back
To pages of an endless story
Of how i never was on track

But all these lines of ink and paper
Are empty boxes wrapped in words
Cause when I see your smile it changes
All is silent, perfection heard

I really like the imagery of a book especially this part:

Quote:

To pages of an endless story
Of how i never was on track
That's really good!
