This is just a suggestion, maybe someone will like it, but someone could edit the script from the Theology (or the Computers forum) to hold a listing of car-related words to keep this page from growing to several pages.

It's not a lot of work to edit, and provides a nice interface for all the terms.

Oh come on, it wasn't that long ago that I didn't know what DSM meant. But then I'm just a truck guy, so what do I know about cars.

Add CAI (cold air intake) and OEM (office of emergency managment). And under Rally Sport you might want to add that the cars are 2.0L, by regulations, and cant be any bigger. And MPH (miles per hour)

iirc you can go to 2.14L on a rally car. :P um...

Perhaps we should define things like oversteer & understeer? Oh, and throw up the Mopar version of LSD. Doesn't it start with a G?

you say that cars dont have V4's

ford used to build a V4 and saab used one in its saab V4 which they used to rally (quite sucsessfully) in the 1960's against things like the origional mini cooper S.

admittedly V4's are rare in cars now tho

True. Cars have also had 3 wheels, lever steering systems and tank tracks. Those are admittedly rare enough to nullify their inclusion here.

I often hear people calling their B18C honda a V4 (although if they think their motor is a V4, they rarely know that the motor was a B18C anyway). I just want those people to stop it.

Thanks for the input. Did you see any other errors?
