| Bunnies!!!!!!!!!! Who here has bunnies? I love them, i have nine.
First, there was Sam, he is a dwarf hotot, then there was Pippin, a netherland dwarf, but i made the mistake of keeping them outside and she was killed by an owl. Then I got Joey, she is a baby mini-lop, she stays inside, where i now keep sam. They are indoor pets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The day after I got Joey, i went back to the pet store to get some bunny toys, and they were desperately trying to get rid of a breeding pair of dutch rabbits. The rabbits were flinging litter all over the floor, and well, getting it on in frint of all the little kids, and you know how rabbits are.............. plus, they were including the huge cage and food and supplies in the asking price, so I bought them, and the very next day, the doe had 5 babies. They are soooooo cute, i love my bunnies. who else here has bunnies and/or bunny stories?

We had a bunny, but he was only with us for about a year. Then he got sick and died.
and in other news, I didn't even know until last week that you could litter train rabbits! (and of course immediately tried to convince my husband that we needed to buy bunnies. )

| *raises hand* i have *rabbits* not bunnies... are we talking about the same thing here? (rabbit is a masculine word) infact, i have 75+ rabbits... it changes all the time... i am one of the co-owners of hillhouse rabbitry. my brother and sister have the other parts. i raise only champagne d'argents. my sister raises dwarf hotots, and netherland dwarfs. my brother raises himilayens. when i said 75+ that was just mine, i think together we have anywhere from 100-150 rabbits in our barn. im definitly not a loser
i raise my rabbits for meat, and if that disgusts you, then we just wont talk about it okay?
do you do any open ARBA showing? i show my rabbits on the national level. infact my sister just got home from the national convention in rhode island. i wasnt able to go because im in college. however, i am planning on going to the nationals in indiana next year showing really is alot of fun and i encourage you to try it if you dont already.
there is another girl here... umm i think her name is jwoolygirl?? or something like that, like the name says she raises jersey woolies.
so thats my story... dude, if i ever get some time, and you guys are interested to hear, we have some pretty crazy stories about traveling to and from rabbit shows.

| yes, my sister jwoolygirl raises jersey woolies. She has them, a holland lop, a tan, and a new kind of lop, I think a french lob. A big fuzzy one. haha...i should get her to answer questions rather than me
she's very into 4-H and i think has competed in a couple ARBA shows but I'm not sure. She took Grand Champion for the state of washington in Fitting and Showing, which we're all very proud of her for.
LOL, we have some crazy fun rabbit stories too...ahh the joys of growing up in a 4-h household...i thought I would never miss the animals, but what's funny is I find myself asking about them as often as I ask about my family whenever I call home.

| Yeah, I thought about showing a couple of my rabbits, but there is no where around here to do so, plus I am in college, and I am a musician, so I don't really have the time to show them. They aren't really show quality anyway. I lucked out and found the dwarf hotot at a local feed store, but he has a couple of black "freckles", and that would disqualify him, stuff like that.
They are cuth though. My babies(kits) are now about three weeks old and are trying to eat rabbit food with mom, they are adorable. I put all 5 of them in the pouch of my hoodie sometimes and carry them to class. That is always fun

| Mr Daisy my bunny I have a rabbit (old english butterfly) who is litter trained, i take him for walks (or hops in his case) on a little leash, and he is trained (lovingly) to do some tricks like jump over a pole or through a hoop and stand on his hind legs when someone says "sit up" and he comes when he is called. oddly enough people think this is strange?!?!? they just haven't met Mr. Daisy!!!!
We originally thought that he was a girl so we named him daisy but then it became quite apparent that he wasnt so since he already knew his name, we just added the mister to the beginning. the same thing happened to my little sister, she named her bunny grace and she added Sir so he is now Sir Grace and best friends with Mr. Daisy! what a crazy world of bunnies we live in! |

| ... I have two bunnies. They are four and five I think. They are both mini lops and I love them bunches! They both use a litter box...
They are so cute. They both have very different personalities.
Boxcar- Black and White, larger that Flopsy, mellow, isn't very trained. Never bites.
Flopsy- Has attitude. Doesn't allow you to hold him long. May bite. Black, brown and white. Used to be very well trained, but I haven't had time to work with him much lately. Mischievious. Smart.
