Q&A Time with: thesteve

...and i'll answer it...any question will do...i can give serious answers, and not serious answers, according to my inkling at the intent of the question.

What made you want to start an "ask me a question" thread?

ah...this is like that question, "What came first, the chicken or the egg?" the answer is difficult and changes with perspective.

the purpose of this thread was to get people to ask me question, a task which would both stretch my intellect and my imagination, while at the same time giving me an idea of what cgr users who responded to the thread think about or find important.

Alright, Steve. What is your favorite type of question?

Ones that begin with "What?" "When?" "Where?" "How?" or "Why?"

And why?

it's a conclusive tie between "what", "how" and "why". this is because all three of these question types can involve an explanation or at least extrapolation on a subject, the other two, "when" and "where" have very simple answers...they are of importance, but they do not stimulate my brain in the same fashion.

from the Christian perspective, the chicken came first. God said, "hey i'm going to make a bird called the chicken," and BAM! adult chickens.

well i could've given more, but some of it is in my profile, and other things would just be more fun to bring up via people asking about them. instead of saying, "this is my biography..." and saying a bunch of boring facts people could ask about them.

maybe i'm totally nuts

Totally nuts.

But fine.

Where is the farthest you've gone on a trip away from wherever you called "home"? Details and tidbits welcome in your answer.

awesome...see i can really extrapolate on this question.

the furthest trip i've taken was about 11,000 miles (one way). i've taken this trip twice. although i look (if you met me you'd agree) to be completely white guy'd, i'm actually half-asian. my mom is from taiwan. I've gone there twice, when i was six, and when i was eight. it's a really amazingly beautiful place...in some ways it's alot like here (the US) but in other ways its completely different (i suppose that's a given though...) i'd like to go again someday, but since my grandmother died recently i don't think that i will ever go back there (i wouldn't go without my mom, and i don't know if she would really want to go)
