| Epi Les Paul Hey guys I just bought an Epi Les paul standard PLUS, whats the difference between plus and regular? The tuning pegs look different (chrome) but I can't really tell any other difference, except it cost $100 more. Before you guys start trashing epiphone, I think it has a great sound for the price. Gibson is better, but its not worth paying 1000 extra for better sound. Heck I could upgrade my pickups and get very close to a Gibson sound. Anyway if anybody knows the difference please let me know.

| the difference is that yours is available in a bunch of colors and has a flamed maple top...the standards jsut have reg. maple and don't have the color selection. |

| why does it have diff. tuning pegs? my friend has a standard, and its the same color, but it has greenish tuning pegs. Mine are chrome Grover tuners.

| In my experience, Grover tuners are a lot better than Epi standards, so combined with the color options and top, thats probably why it was $100 more.
Oh, and welcome to the club of Epi LP players, theres a lot of us out there. |

Mine are chrome Grover tuners. | If your friend's are also Grovers, then they are the vintage style green-key tuners. Gibson used those quite a lot and they look cool. And the wood and finishes would most likely be the difference between the two.
