My G-String is Bigger than Yours: Why Drop C is Better... Well, my first entry here. Hmm...don't know what to say. Maybe I'll tell a bit about myself. I'm 15, I live in Indiana, I am true band geek, and I have a really good long term memory but a short term memory that isn't any better than a goldfish's. I've been told I have the attention span of a squirrel running across the road with a nut in it's mouth (run, stop, take a bite, run some more, look around, run, look around again, take another bite, etc.). I can see where they get that too. Hmm...I've been a member on CGR for quite a while now, under a few different names. I like to play pranks, not ones that leave marks, but like candid camera pranks. Well, that is about it for now.

Well, ok, the rest of the week and weekend are going to be busy. My band is playing for church on Sunday, so that means lots of practice! Yay! Tomorrow after school, we're practicing for about 3 1/2 hours or until our rhythm guitarist has to go get ready for the play, whichever ends sooner. Then I get to watch him in the play. Saturday, we're going up to the church to set up, sound check, and do about 1-1 1/2 hours worth of practicing. Early Sunday morning, maybe 7:00ish, go up, sound check again for acoustic performance, and last minute practicing. Then during Sunday school, guess what? More practicing and sound check! This time for the electric performance. We're looking forward to some really good shows. And why not? I mean, I grabbed the best musicians I could find around my area and age. Well, can't slack off...I still have to get the vocals down perfectly. I can already play the guitar part in my sleep. So, I guess that ends this entry. Later!

Quick change in plans Saturday night. I got a call from the electric guitarist and drummer that night saying they wouldn't be able to make it. That wasn't good, and I couldn't back out, so I had to come up with something quick. I was feeling quite faint at the time, so I decided to play "For the Moments I Feel Faint" by Relient K. Needless to say, it was awesome! Everyone liked it, and some even told me they felt moved afterward! How cool is that?

I see that I haven't posted in here for a while...well, that's changed now. So much has been going on lately, but not much that I can divulge to the general public. I'll just say that drumline is up and running. We're doing variations of the classic opera "Carmen", and it's really awesome so far. The snare part isn't very difficult...yet...it will be very quickly though. Our band is really starting to go. Me and Joe (bassist) are going to play a Trans-Siberian Orchestra instrumental on acoustic guitars for our church service the day after Christmas. We're really excited! Ok, for the holiday coming tomorrow, here's some useless info...every Thanksgiving, Americans consume 45 million turkeys, which is about 1 for every 5 1/2 citizens. Happy Thanksgiving!

| Hey thats cool about your band.
I agree, the moments that I feel faint goes really well. My bro (Simo) and I have done it as an item for church and it always touches people. |

Hey man, thanks for visiting my journal! Yeah, I love that song. It's my favorite one to play on acoustic. I'm probably going to put my version up on my PureVolume page.

Wow, the procrastinator in me strikes again! Well, the final piece for our band has fallen into place. Evan is now our lead vocalist. Don't want to toot our own horn, but I think we're going to be awesome! We have the best drummer in the area, the best bassist in the area, and now one of the greatest screamers I've ever heard. Ev and I have already started working on some songs. Actually, critiquing each others and revising, and mainly I'm the one working on music right now. I know Ev has got some awesome ideas, and Joe does too. Can't wait to see what happens in the near future....stay tuned!

Do I have A.D.D. or A.D.H.D.? I don't know. But I have been asked that question by many people this past week. I've been told that if I don't have either of those, then it's not possible for anyone else to have them. Hmmm....strange, considering I've been really pooped out these past few days....I can honestly say that I wouldn't be surprised to find out that I had one of those though. Oh well...

Thanks for visiting! Well, music is basically my life. I've got it on my mind at almost all times of the day. I feel that it's what God wants me to do with my life, or else he wouldn't have given me the ability to play music. That's cool that you play bass and sing. Music is so much fun, but some people ride it off as easy and an excuse to get out of work. I think you will agree that music is a lot more work than it gets credit for. Anyway, I'm going to stop preaching now. It's always awesome to meet a fellow (or semi-fellow ) A.D.H.D. person. I've had so much energy all day, that just sitting down would give me headaches. I've been telling people that I'm crazy for Zoloft all day, and coincidentally, they just did a 1/2 segment of Zoloft on TV. What are the odds? Anyway, thanks again for stopping by!
