I have never heard that one, but generally Jamiroquai is fun stuff to play.

Hmm... How about... Pretty much anything Chris Squire plays. Or perhaps something by Jaco?

Every time Switchfoot comes out with a new CD I get a new favorite bass line. Right now it's Stars, but that will probably change because thats the first song I learned off their new album.

Too old school fer ya?

Not too long ago I jamming with the the old Parliament-Funkadelic tapes. That Bootsy Colins fella is pretty funky. "Sir Nose" gets my vote.

"What is hip", by Tower of Power, is a close second.

In the beginning of "Be My Escape", in the second part of the intro where the bass starts on F#, is that making some dissonant harmonies? If it is, I'm not hearing them. The whole bass line in that part sounds totally off.

? It sounds good to me...Not really any harmonies there. Its the same thing later on in the songg, which is a bass solo...

Anyways, on my bass its extremely punchy so it sounds great.

Exactly. If something is not harmonic, it does not blend with the notes it goes along with. The reason all the strings on a guitar blend together is because they are all harmonic with eachother. I was saying that the bass part does not seem to go along with the guitar part.
