| Rachel's songs I have a soundclick account too now so this thread shall be my shameless plug for myself. Here's the link; I have 5 of my songs up there. One song, Over, is a more complete version, with some "bass" (keyboard on bass setting) and strings added in. I'll fix the rest of them up and add/replace them in due time, but the other 4 are just me and my guitar.
Yep, it's just me... no "band" per se.

| Heya,
You're quite talented. Good voice, very good.
What do you use to record? |

| Thanks Brandon!
Initially, this.
Yes, it's a PDA.
Now, I use this.
For Over (and every other song I record now, but don't have up on my Soundclick yet), I plug my keyboard into the Tascam USB input box as well as my mic and pickup. Like so.
(That's an untitled, unfinished half of a chorus. Any ideas/feedback on it would be appreciated. )

| Heya,
Very cool - do you plug your guitar into your input box directly? (as in, from the onboard electronics, if you have them) or do you mic it?

| Short answer: both.
Long answer: It either depends on my moods for shorter clips, as was the case for that little snippet I posted above, or what kind of sound I'm trying to achieve. I usually record the guitars twice now, once with my pickup plugged into the USB box, and once with the mic, as each way results in a different sound.

| I like your song Dissonance, though the name is a bit misleading. It's not dissonant at ALL.

| The lyrics point to dissonance of a different kind, John. And thanks.
I reallyreally need to record Gone, Gone one of these days.

| Thanks.
Well folks, I caved. Here's the link to my brand-new myspace site for your viewing/listening pleasure. Feel free to add me to your friends, too.
I'm also in the process of writing a new song... ad of late, I've been lazy to work on the old ones. Whoops. Maybe I'll have something new out by tonight. We'll see.

I might as well direct you guys over here so you can RC this. I want RCs, guys.
I have a new one but I want that one RC'ed first. I won't post anything else I'm working on until I get an RC for that.
