| I think it's a 8.5 but I put 9. Only think I don't like is that the songs sound the same, some of them. Mostly just the guitar that sounds the same, may just be me. Very good debut cd. Keep it up Roper. |

| I like it. A lot. There's some good variety here, though the songs tend to blend together a little. There's enough variation to keep things interesting though. The lyrics are fantastic, as is to be expected from Reese Roper and the music matches well. It's not just FIF without horns as some people have said. The sound is full and complete: it doesn't feel like anything's missing.
Anyways, I gave it an 8. It's a great album, but Roper still has some maturing as a band to go through. I'm looking forward to what they do in the future. |

| better than I expected I am a huge FIF fan and love brave saint saturn. I was pleasently surprised. I woundered how reese would pull off another band with out having soundling exactly the same as the other two bands, but he did it. I gave the CD an 8 becasue like other reviews have said, some of the songs on the CD do sound pretty similar to each other. But the lyrics are great. I hope they keep up the good owrk.

| I give it an 8. Actually I'd like to give it a 7.7, cuz they can improve (obviously) and 10's are a heavy thing to give out. I've had this cd since the day it came out. First I was totally excited to have new stuff from Reese and it was all I listened to, then I started listening to my FIF cd's and started (inevitably) to compare them and was kinda disappointed w/Roper, but in the last few weeks I've come around and realized that Roper is not "FIF Jr." and I started listening to them for what they are trying to be and found they're pretty darn good. The music is tight and upbeat with quality lyrics/vocals. Compare their debut album against other punk bands first albums and you's be hard pressed to find many better. I'm going to do all I can to catch them on the Supertones farewell tour.
It will be a sad day when Reese puts down the mic........

| I was disappointed. I didn't think it showed much promise. I am a huge FIF fan but this did not grab me.

| I give it a 7.5. I agree with the first person that they can get a lot better and i have seen it in there shows. i saw one in october then in february. They have matured more as a band and added new Cover songs.
Beside's this album wasn't even recorded with Nick White drumming and i can tell he has more talent then the drums on BYFTM. And Byrnside hasn't thrown in his own guitar and i believe he has the same if not more talent than Ethan Luck how created most the songs on BYFTM.
So like I said just wait for the new CD. |

| I'm a big FIF and Brave Saint fan, but I wasn't really impressed by Roper. It seemed like all the songs are about the same things Reese has been singing about for a long time... not that that's bad, but I guess I was looking for something new.
The sound is alot like the Guerilla Rodeo sampler I bought at Winners Never Quit: The Farewell Tour.
Maybe if I listen to it more it will grow on me, but right now I'm not a huge fan. |
