EXIT EAST Releases Self-Titled Label Debut January 18

Joining successful label mates Big Daddy Weave, BarlowGirl and By The Tree, newly signed pop/rock band EXIT EAST will release its self-titled label debut January 18.

Brad Avery of Third Day says, "I have had the pleasure of knowing these guys and experiencing them use their gifts on a regular basis. They have a passionate faith that spills over into everything they do. They are excellent leaders in worship, and tremendous leaders in service. They are gifted in weaving strong spiritual content with energized and heartfelt music."

EXIT EAST members Jason Foust, lead vocals and keyboard, Jon Stanley, lead guitar, Mitch Brooks, bass and Chris Lindsey, drums, all hail from the Atlanta, GA area where they began their music career in 1999 as a worship band. Winning AtlantaFest's "Artist Search" contest in 2003, producer Otto Price (Out of Eden, Grits, BarlowGirl) took note of the band and came on board to produce the album. The resulting sound melds catchy guitar parts, floor-shaking drums and groove-heavy bass lines. A sample of their sound is featured on the recently released Absolute Smash Hits performing "With You," and on Absolute Favorite Christmas, released in September, with the lead singer, Jason Foust, singing "O Come, O Come Emmanuel."

New music from EXIT EAST can also be heard on radio nationally as its first single from the new album, "All Of This," is already gaining momentum at CHR radio with stations such as Yes-FM/ Toledo, WSCF/ Vero Beach and WYLV/ Knoxville already playing it in rotation. Supporting the single, the band recently wrapped up a 21-city radio promo tour stopping at YES FM, as well as WONU/ Chicago, IL, Way FM/ Nashville, TN and WOLR/ Gainesville, FL. "All Of This" will additionally go for adds at AC radio on Nov. 12.

While on the tour, EXIT EAST also performed live on the nationally syndicated Total Axxess program and at the After The Storm Benefit Concert in Fort Myers, FL. More than 1,000 people attended the concert and 40,000 items were given to aid in the relief effort following the hurricanes that devastated Florida.
