In support of their brand new project, I CHOOSE YOU, Point of Grace hit the Big Apple, New York City, to perform a live, one-hour concert, broadcast on over 170 Christian radio stations nationwide including Star 99 New York City, FISH Atlanta, KXOJ Tulsa, KTIS Minneapolis, FISH Nashville, HIS Radio Network Greenville and the American Family Radio Network. The album's debut single "I Choose You" is currently at #11 on the R&R Christian AC chart with a bullet.
The concert was broadcast from Theater 315 in Times Square and co-sponsored by the Salvation Army's Times Square Ministry. Point of Grace performed songs from the new album before a studio audience of contest winners from the New York City area.
The day after the radio broadcast POG members Denise Jones and Shelley Breen conducted a live interview on CNN Headline News in support of the Redeem The Vote campaign, a non-partisan organization designed to encourage young people of faith to vote. In addition, they conducted interviews and liners with various Christian radio stations encouraging their listeners to vote this coming Tuesday, November 2nd.
I Choose You is also garnering it's fair share of great reviews, including the following from CCM magazine and Christian Music Planet:
"Simply put, I Choose You is the best album Point of Grace has ever done......there is a new edge, a new life and a new energy in the girls' music that deftly manages the difficult task of freshening up their sound to engage new listeners without going so far as to alienate the existing fan base....If I Choose You is any indication, after 10 years, Point of Grace has just only just begun." -- CCM Magazine
"...Point of Grace takes several new turns on their ninth full studio effort....the result is a more modern-sounding Point of Grace...more mature blends and lead vocals. The title track features aggressive lead vocals by Denise Jones and a catchy chorus.....Big ballads are still present with the sweeping "For All You've Done".....the group adds an artful touch with an old recorded reading of a piece of John Bunyan's classic "Pilgrim's Progress" as the intro to the heavenly "This Is Your Land." - Christian Music Planet Magazine
