| So...5 questions time!
1) What are you going to be when you grow up?
2) Did you finish the mousetrap tractor?
3) Do you still play the Accordion?
4) What's it like having such a great mom?
5) Do you have a 5 year plan?

2) Did you finish the mousetrap tractor?
| Yep! I'll get to this in a minute. Quote: |
3) Do you still play the Accordion?
| About as much as I ever have, which is very little. I'm pretty sure I can still play the one song I ever learned to play... the theme to The Office... Quote: |
4) What's it like having such a great mom?
| Well, I've never known anything else, so I can't really compare it... Quote: |
5) Do you have a 5 year plan?
| Go to Fresno State and get a degree in... something...
So, yes, the competition was today. We came up with a pretty cool two-phase mechanism that worked great right up until... this morning. Our second phase didn't fire properly and didn't add any additional distance. It pulled 2.78 ft, which is better than a lot of people did. We ended up ranked 18 out of 70 teams, but only the top 15 advanced to the second round. Another team from our school got second place, though, so that was cool.
On our best run a few days ago, we got 58 inches, which is 4.83 feet, and probably would've got us into the final round, but oh well. Our professor saw how much work we were putting into it and recognized what went wrong with it today, so I think we'll still get a good grade on it.
I think we have video of the competition, but I haven't seen it yet, and it doesn't really show how the car works. I sent it home with someone else from our team today, so once I get it back on Tuesday I might be able to post and show everybody how the whole thing works. |

*yawn* I have a blog. I should do something about that.
School is going okay. Three weeks left, then finals.
If anybody reading this likes Switchfoot and doesn't have Hello Hurricane yet, you need to go fix that right now. Seriously, it's awesome.
I am reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I have never read the original because I am a terrible person or something. This version has been very enjoyable so far, though. |

| the original pride and prejudice is my least favorite of jane austen's works. (and I love jane austen. I think she's hilarious.) it's just...ugh. if you really want to know what I think of it, you know where to find me.
my coworker was talking today about pride and prejudice and zombies. I think that rewriting the classics to include zombies and vampires is simultaneously appalling and tremendously funny. I guess I have to read one to decide whether I choose appalling or funny. haha. |

| It just doesn't feel like your blog unless someone is talking about Switchfoot. |
