MercyMe Performs at National Association of Broadcasters Convention

On October 6 MercyMe provided an unplugged, energetic set for radio industry VIPs (Clear Channel, Salem/KLTY, Infinity, Moody, Country Music Broadcasters, WMHK among others) and key radio personalities such as John Tesh and Delilah during the Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) Reception. The CMB reception was held at the Hyatt Grand Manchester in San Diego in conjunction with the National Association of Broadcasters Radio Show.

This special showcase was presented by CMB, INO Records, Curb Records and McVay Media.. The award-winning band performed 40 minutes including the radio mega-hit "I Can Only Imagine," current top 10 single, "Here With Me" and the forthcoming single, "Homesick." MercyMe also interacted with the attendees with a meet-and-greet and Q & A hosted by Heather Lloyd (KPRZ San Diego). They were able to present their faith and discuss their experience with their mainstream crossover success.

MercyMe became one of the fastest-selling new artists in Christian music history with their release of ALMOST THERE in the fall of 2000. Their newest release, UNDONE, released 4/20, entered the Billboard top 200 sales chart at #12, selling nearly 56,000 units. "Here With Me" also became a mainstream AC radio top 10 hit and No. 1 radio hit on CHR, AC, and INSP.

CMB strives to increase awareness of the impact of Christian music radio and to promote excellence, growth and the influence of music-oriented Christian radio. NAB is a full-service trade association which represents the interests of free, over-the-air radio and television broadcasters.
