Multi-platinum, multi-Grammy and Dove Award-winning band, Jars of Clay recently announced the initial phase of their Fall 2004 tour, titled "Where We Are Instead," in support of their sixth studio album Who We Are Instead. The tour will hit selected markets throughout the United States in October and November, and welcomes special guests Sarah Kelly and Trevor Morgan.
The fall tour extends an active 2004 for the veteran band, highlighted by a spring tour with labelmates Caedmon's Call and international dates in South Africa, Sweden and Holland, including the headlining slot at The Netherlands' Flevo Festival, the longest running Christian music festival in Europe. In between fall tour dates, Jars of Clay will continue work on their upcoming studio album, scheduled for a Spring 2005 release.
"Where We Are Instead" Special Guests:
Gotee recording artist Sarah Kelly unveiled her debut album Take Me Away this past February, grabbing the number 12 spot on the "Top Christian Albums" SoundScan chart first week out by selling more than 4,100 units. This feat secured Kelly as the highest new artist debut in the 10-year history of Gotee Records. Sarah was recently featured in the Itunes newsletter and on the main page of iTunes in which there was a special download of her single "Living Hallelujah." She went to #2 on the inspirational downloads. As an independent artist, Sarah sold more than 20,000 units on her own.
Trevor Morgan's 2004 debut, Wonderlight, was the debut release from BHT Entertainment, and features the current radio single, "Fall Down." Besides having songs recorded by artists such as Ginny Owens, Geoff Moore and Phillips Craig & Dean, Trevor also gained exposure as a bassist for the mainstream act Owsley, where he co-wrote the single "I'm Alright." Additionally playing guitar and bass for Owens' national tour performances for more than two years, Morgan's talents further led him to open concerts for her and other established artists including Third Day, MercyMe, Jennifer Knapp, Mark Schultz and Geoff Moore.
