BATHURST 2004!

It's back!
Once again, we will gather around the t.v. set (for those lucky enough to be there... on ya) to see who takes out this momentous event! The rivalry again is sparked in to a raging firestorm, as Ford and Holden prepare to enter into a battle of endurance, spanning 1000 kilometres (or thereabouts =]).

Who do you have allegiance to?
Who will be trying to get home from church a little bit early to see the build-up? (I suppose this would only apply to kiwi's, as aussies would likely have to skip church altogether, unless they went to say an early service)
Who will take it out?

I used to be into V8 motorsport, but now it doesnt interest me the slightest.
I dont really care who wins, but since ive got an old HRT racing jacket, I guess my allegance lies with Holden. But I wouldnt watch the race anyway.

The Indies on soon, and I live not more than a few km from it! It looks awesome and you can still drive around on the road - converted race track, it feels like your on an actual race course rather than a road!!
They will soon block that off, then all the traffic will be diverted down my way...great. Soon I will have to leave even earlier for work!

Holden all the way!

I watched some of it, but ended up going to a TWC vs Elim soccer game, but saw about 50 laps, so it was ok.
Last time, I watched the whole thing, shows how little there is to do out at bible college. Lunch was crap that day so I sat watching it for however long it went for, got back and I think 2 laps had gone but it was great being able to watch it all.

I watched the whole thing from the track this year!

I remember growing up, dad would set the video to record the start when we were at church and then we'd all rush home straight after the service and plonk ourselves in front of the telly until the end of the race, and then it would be time to go back to church for the evening service! Many years later when I was all grown up, my wife tells me of the day that the whole morning service was populated by just the ladies, most of the blokes had stayed home, I don't remember that service cause I was home!!

Did you see the car that flipped over?
Crashed into a car that was trying to get into the pits, flip...
