| Rapture? I just wanted to hear your thoughts on what you think the rapture is all about... If you even believe there is one.
This is not a debate
I believe the Rapture is to take the evil out, not the saints...but that is all i will say for right now... |

| Are you a Davidian? They are the only ones I have heard as proponents of this.

| When do you believe this rapture occurs? A rapture to take the evil out would not mak sense to me, considering the wrath of God is being poured out. Unless you are saying it is a post-wrath rapture.

I think what the normal people who believe in the rapture think. Most people here don't believe it will occur. |

I think the rapture is at the second coming of Christ.

| Revelation thats all. Thats the Bible and what will happen, personaly while fiction, Left Behind did a AWEsome job of potraying what WILL happen.
No God Will Take the Dead in Him, and The Believers, and because he is a just and loving God he will still give non believers 7 years to accept him, even though it will be literly Hell on earth, What is really freaky is when the Locusts come, and thier bite will be EXCRUCIATINGLY painful like nothing ever expeirenced yet, You will not be able to die, Revelation says that men will cut thier wrists, throw themselfs off buildings yet still WILL not die. untill that Judgement is complete/ |

| Actually, if I'm not mistaken, amillenialists don't believe in the rapture. Me, I'm not sure what I believe, other than that it doesn't concern me too much. The Bible pretty explicitly states that no man knows the day or hour, and since that includes me--why worry? Unlike some folks(Falwell, Robertson, etc.) I've got better things to do than try to force God's hand and pretend to play God. God's got it covered, so I've got better things to worry about.

anyway, i believe in a pretribulation rapture of the church...since we are not arguing i'll stop there...

| that's weird the Bible states clearly that there will be a rapture of humans not evil, if evil will really be raptured away as the author of this says, then what about the anti-christ, the false beast, and all that, I have to do some research since i'm writing a book hoping I could get it published, it talks about all this. and when Jesus opens the fifth seal, the saints in heaven cry out to God Quote: |
how long oh sovereign Lord Holy and true until until you avenge our blood? and they were given white robes and were told to wait a little longer until their brothers blood was spilled (something like that)
| this is found in REV 6:something, I don't have my Bible with me since I forgot it at home, or I would give you the full scripture, in chapter 20 it says Quote: |
and I saw the multitudes both poor and rich, small and great, free and slave standing before the great white throne waithing to be judged
| also it says Quote: |
and the dead in Christ shall arise first from the tomb
| so many prophecies support my beliefs and I could post them all but that would take time, and time I don't have since my second hour bell is going to ring. |

| If you would seriously look into your scriptures, you would not find ONE thing on God "Raptureing" us out of the earth. The rapture was never even heard of until like 1830. This occured when a girl had a dream that the church would dissapear. She told her pastor and he taught about it. Then Scoffield wrote a bible.(with all of the Rapture notes in it). I have reasons to believe he isn't the kind of person i want Godly advice from.
The rapture is totally contrary to what the word of God says. God for all this time has been trying to get heaven on earth. HE wants the Christians to TAKE OVER not Be Taken out!! if we were taken out(christians)who would be here to save the lost? God uses people to draw others to the kingdom of God. Umm if the're no saved people on the earth...how do we plan on saving them?
