Babylon infants = religious systems, if you dont believe me look it up and see for yourself.

The rapture is a baby (born) from a religious system, religious people were the first who wanted to Kill Jesus.

Stop taking scripture and figureing it out in YOUR HEAD, scripture is supposed to be taken spiritually not fleshly.

The scripture says it refers to judgement on babylon in the previous line. you are figuring this out in your head, with no apparent reasons behind it. I am seeking to find the authorial intent.

actually, I tend to think that you have no basis for that, for there is certainly none in the text of scripture, and I have looked this up.

You twisted and perverted it to make it a lie. That is all you just did.

1 thessalonians is a reference to the rapture at the end of days, in context of speaking about the dead arising and their hope.

I am using NIV here, no reason in particular. the context is clearly speaking of believers meeting Christ in the air.

I'm closing this for now, though I, or another mod may open it back up later..

but everyone just chill out. Rapture or no Rapture is not the end of the world. lol. We'll figure it out as it happens, so no need to get all nasty about this difference. Just keep reminding yourself that you all are family.. and you are going to have to spend eternity with eachother... so you better learn to like eachother now
