I'm thinkin
ok, I can get a Squier MB-5 5 string bass for the same price I coulld get an MB-4...this seems like a deal to jump at...what do all of you think?

I would be cautious, but don't rule out the five string. Play one and see how the B string is. If it's loose and floppy, then forget it.

that makes sense...thanx, though I've been cautioned against getting a 5 string, especially getting another Squier (I already have an MB-4)

I've actually heard that the MB-5 is a pretty decent bass.

the guy just said don't get another Squier, get something good, like an Ibanez...then the other guy's like "get an Ergodyne" and I would love to...I really would...btw, and Ergodyne is that graphite model Ibanez
