| How should I redesign my room Hey, im an artist, I want to redesign my room( gotta get my parents to let me tho) Because when I first moved here I was 13 and I said I wanted no decorations in my room and plain white walls. I think it would be fun to ask people for ideas on here (Scince I can't get on KnockFirst, Trading Spaces, or While you Were out, lol.)
I was thinking this, navy blue walls, with painted orange box shaped shelves on the wall.
Ill try and find a pic of my room...

| Dark colored walls often make a room feel small and even forboeding.

| Put in a fireman pole! Because they're cool! (unless you're on the first floor.. hmm..)
...
Sorry... got nothing else.
Though you could paint all the walls with acrylic, but that might take awhile... do it do it!

| Dark walls are cozy.
... maybe not navy blue dark... but dark is cool.
Hint: Don't do anything that's excessively hard to undo (ie. black walls).

| Oh yea, I know that, I should have said navy, more like...well the blue color on the forums quick reply title bar, or the darker color in the bar that says Thread Tools, Search this Thread, and Display Modes.

| You give me pictures, I'll set you up, paint colors and all, by brand and exact name. What kind of feel are you looking for?

Ill try and find a pic of my room... | you are lucky. i've lived in the same house ALL my life, and have had the same room ALL my life. it is pink with pink and some more pink. bed spread? pink. pillows? pin. curtains? pink. luckily i post pics all over the walls.
what is cool is if you put corkboard on the walls. it is awesome. and on another wall--magnetic paint, and on another--chalkboard paint. you get the idea. then you can change up your room whenever. |

| Chalkboard paint is a really awesome idea, especially if you just like to write or obsessively doodle when you are bored (like me ). I'm thinking of putting it on one wall in my bedroom when our house finally is built (think six months). The other 3 walls are probably going to be a peachy-orange color, nothing too fluorescent but light orange-ish. Floating shelves, desk, chest of drawers, accessories will be mostly black (or painted with the chalkpaint too), to match the wall. Then with the peach and black some green plants would work. That's just my room, though. |

Thanks for the more ideas. Mural sounds fun, I actually do alot of artwork, and my art teacher mostly does Mural, and he has been wanting to teach me Mural...maybe it would be a good idea! |

| A mural would be very cool...
Since this thread is a couple months old, would you like to give us an update on your room's progress?
(Side note - When I first looked at this thread's title, I thought it said "How should I redesign my mom".)
