they alow you to crank the volume on your tube amp, getting that saturated tube tone, but you can keep it soft with the attenuator volume control. so its quiet, but with great tube tone.

I don't understand it when people say "they make volume knobs for a reason"

I mean, the fender blues is pretty loud, and people say they don't want it because it is to loud. Then the reply is, "they make volume knobs for a reason."

Well, personally I think if your going to play at a low volume then don't get the loud amp, or at least get the attenuators. Cuz truthfully, a tube amp at a low volume really doesn't sound as great as it can get.

And this thread is getting way off topic. RockerDud, if you want to continue the discussion, I would appreciate it if you would start a new thread.

I was wanting a rifle or shotgun but my mom seemed like she was gonna give in this year but a week or so a go she was like pick out a guitar. So I'm now getting a guitar for Christmas. I told my dad to chose between the Blueridge BR-140(based on Martin D-18) or BR-160(based on Martin D-28). Bleridges are supposed to be based on the pre WW2 Martins, I'm no Martin expert but if there is or isn't a difference in the post WW2 models I wouldn't know.

This one, primarily for its commemoration, but also because the owners on the Fender Forum are loving it:

Dave, are Texas Specials noiseless and can you get them in just middle and neck positions?

I'm not a Fender expert but I believe the Texas Specials are not noisless, and yes they have the for all three positions. I believe the only noisless Fenders are the Vintage Noisless.
