| I think the idea of a valedictorian is nice at first... but...
how can a schoolboard honestly figure out out of 4-500 students which one has accomplished the most? Our school went by gpa, and was apparently too "nice" because we had 6 valedictorians in my HS graduating class in '03
Six. Yes. Six.
It was the stupidest thing on earth that graudation day, with the seven of them spreading the speech out amongst themselves. Also, our class only had 100 people (small public school system), so in a way it deprived them of the experience, when 6% (almost 10%) of the student body "earned" it.
Ugghh. Just venting. |
