do ya go to a Christian school or something? The "it's gotta be a Christian song" thing seems a bit ridiculous to me. There are plenty of perfectly good uplifting "secular" songs out there. My senior class song was "Higher" by Creed. Every time I hear it, I have this slideshow of images in my head from my high school days.

Yes, I go to a Christian school. I don't know why that's the rule, but it just is. I know there are tons of great secular songs. hmmmmmmmmmm

A Pedro the Lion song could be good. He's semi-Christian, a Christian who sings about everything in life including God, so that might count. His music is very nice indie pop-rock.
