Song dealing with the idea of being God's masterpiece/workmanship

Hey everyone,

We are going to have a pretty cool Sunday this Sunday - we are having someone in our church "paint" a picture about what God's masterpiece is while our pastor preaches on the subject. But then, everyone will go up in single file line to look at the picture, they'll find out that she didn't actually paint a picture, it's a mirror.

So - we want to sing a special music number that deals with us being God's masterpiece, about our self-worth being found in the fact that we were created by God.

Any ideas?

quick thoughts...

Darlene Zschech’s “The Potter’s Hand”
Jami Smith’s “Salt & Light” might work
The hymn “Take My Life and Let It Be”

That new Chris Tomlin song... the chorus goes, "Indescribable, incomparable..."

But I can't quite remember the name. Very, very good song.

Casting Crowns "Who Am I?"

"Anyway" by Nichole Nordeman talks about us being dirty, dusty, only mediocre paintings yet God hangs us on the wall anyway.

YES!!! I've been racking my brain for the past hour trying to come up with a modern-y sounding song that I knew I had heard recently that was about this topic... but I couldn't come up with it for anything. The Casting Crowns song ThanksALatte just mentioned is it. This song is great, and pretty much right along the lines of the sermon topic you're talking about, Adam (that is your real name, right [parkway]?).

In His love,
Nate

Yes, I know that "Who Am I" is the perfect song for this situation and one I want to use really really bad.

However, I've been informed that the children's ministry has been working on the signing (deaf) of that song and want to perform it for the congregation on the 10th of October. Which really irritates me, but oh well, have to live with it.

Yessirree.

I would change my user name to Adam, but that's already taken.

I think I'm going to go with this one. Thanks for the ideas, everyone!

Nope, actually I'm going to go with "The Fingerprints of God" by Steven Curtis Chapman. It perfectly fits with what we are talking about.

Thanks for the brainstorming!

"Your Beloved" would also work.
