The Broncos, of course. It's why God made sunsets orange - or at least that's why according to the bumper stickers I used to see when I lived in Colorado.

Hey, and the Bears aren't doing that bad. At least on my Madden X-Box Game. I've been playing as the Bears, and we just suffered our first loss of the season to the New York Jets (in overtime, no less), which means I'm 13-1 this year.

I noticed Jake Plummer does have that Jesus looking beard and all, well, at least I would imagine Jesus having a beard like that

I could only wish that the real bears were doing that well...

That line bugs the crap out of me (other than that, I like the song).

I don't understand the contempt for that line. Can someone please explain it to me?

Because that phrase leads to dirty, dirty thoughts.

Goes back to the whole Jesus-is-my-boyfriend mindset. Ugh.

We should have a support group for people traumatized by bad theology.

To be honest, I still don't really understand it. lol. I mean, why would you think of it that way? I've never even heard of that until someone mentioned it here. lol...

I do love Jesus, and I would hope that most of you would say the same. What's wrong with singing about it?

Sorry if I'm seeming really dense right now....lol....

I'm being a joker myself. I've never done this song as a worship song, but the line really doesn't bother me. I'm in love with Jesus too. That doesn't mean Jesus is my boyfriend...in fact, it means a WHOLE LOT more. I think that our society has trained us to react to a line like this in a certain way.

You're right. But I just don't understand how it implies "boyfriend". I guess I haven't been affected enough by American society? lol. I guess Matt Redman wasn't either when he wrote it...

*shrug* Maybe I'm just really weird.

But I'd never tell my dad I was in love with him. I wouldn't tell my mom I was in love with her. I wouldn't tell you I'm in love with you.

Of course society has trained us to think of "in love," in a certain way. Society trained us to think of "Shiva," and "Jesus," certain ways, too. I'd imagine you'd have a theological problem with singing, "Shiva, I am so in love with you," right?
