How sweet that is for God, to hear us, along with his mother, meditation on the scriptures!!!

Now, if we are saying the Hail Mary by itself, we are supposed to concentrate on the words, just as any other prayer would be!
Please clarify ... are you saying that Mary ( who is in Heaven ) meditates on the scripture ?

That is NOT what you got back. What you got back is that those in heaven are just alive in Christ as we are. So it's all a matter of location, one who's alive on earth or one who's alive in heaven. It's all the same. You haven't successfully answered this.

Well, then you've ONLY seen the extemes I guess. Because this isn't even apart of the Church. Those who do as you say they do aren't following Church teaching. You need to address the doctrine not the people abusing it. Just as if we were discussing driving. You would need to address the driving as being wrong, not those who abuse the privilege.

Fine, I guess this is just not going to get anywhere. If you really want to address this and try to iron out the differences, then please one more time show me why we should not pray to those in heaven and especially Mary. And I'll show you wy we should do these things. We can move on from there, if you want to continue.

I have about half of my response to this post done, but have no time right now to finish... I'll post it later today, I'm not ignoring your post here

This thread is quickly becoming just like the other one in here. Anybody want to focus on one thread so we aren't posting the same things in each one? Or am I the only one?

Robbi, I have a recommendation for you, and I seriously urge you to read this if you really want to understand repititious pray and the Rosary better, as well as why those prayers (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be) are the most often 'prescribed'. It's called "The Secret of the Rosary" by Saint Louis De Montfort. Many Catholics know what a treasure the book is, and I can't tell you how many (not just recently... for many many years) have been changed in their idea of the Rosary because of bringing it. I personally have been praying the Rosary pretty regularly since I was 7 years old, but it wasn't until this year that I read the book and fully understood its beauty- it made me want to pray the Rosary more. You can find it at Catholic book stores, or online. It's very popular so it shouldn't be hard to find. God bless

Theological discussions on Mary are great, but that is not the intention of this thread. You are right in being concerned about this. Any further questions concerning the topic this thread has reverted to need to be discussed in a thread designated for that subject. God bless
