Can somebody help explain "entertaining angels" to me?

Can you help me understand what the verse:

could mean? Im just curious.

The Newsboys themselves said that the whole song is taken from Luke 5:10 that says: Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents. I also believed that they took the term "Entertaining Angels" from Hebrews 13:2 that says Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Peter speaks of feeling so tiny and insignificant to God, yet is trying to pray right where he feels the most comfortable-- right there in front of his t.v. it's a song to show us that we dont have to be in the presence of a high church or have a bunch of people in a congregation pushing us to an alter call to repent and ask God in our lives... we can do it any time we want. it's an awesome song.

The only reason i frown at that is that the TV is such a symbol of worldliness and all that is bad.

everything is what you make it. there are good programs on tv... in fact, i saw the video to Entertaining Angels on Tv. Computers are bad if you wanna look at it that way, cuz you can look up bad things on them as well on the internet.

I've heard that WE entertain angels or you could look at it as the angels are entertaining US.
I don't really know what to think of it personally.
I don't really like the song.

I thought the song talked about how God's always waiting for us but we just sit there and "entertain" the angels while we watch TV. I mean, we just watch TV while we should actually be spending that time with God. I thought the whole "entertaining" part was merely sarcasm. We're not entertaining God at all when we sit on our butt and don't pay attention to him (by TV or other means). But then again, it's never been proven that I'm not a fool.

Hmm that's interesting. I always thought it was a song about how God is always with us--He even sends His angels to us when we're sitting watching TV, and not paying attention to Him. Guess that just goes to show you how songs can mean things to people and it's not anything close to what the artists were thinking of as the meaning.

the song's not meant to be a trivial thing about TV. it has nothing to do with tv. it just has to do with not being in a strict church setting when you might be pushed by others to go up to the alter call or something. i mean, surveys have been done, and most people go up to alter calls because they feel like they're "supposed to" or are pushed by friends, not because they feel God calling them there. sad eh? so if someone is sitting there in their home when they feel God tugging at their heart, i think that's even better. that's more of what that song is about.
