I hope that he comes back soon. The Wed's have flown by. Each Wed., I wake up and think, is this the day he comes back? And each Wed. he doesn't. And my soul dies a little each day.

I don't believe he'll be coming back, from all that he's said to me. Perhaps someday, but nowhere in the near future, as far as I know. And it saddens me to a great extent, though I'm not exactly in a position to speak for anyone or deprive all here of hope, so I'll merely hush and be on my way.

Ha, no, no. You needn't get angry about anything, for all of you have likely talked to the poor man more than myself.
I disturbed the fellow one night whilst he was at home after coming on here and discovering that he's not been around CGR at all either. I hadn't talked to him in months, and was just as curious as to why this was. Thus, I found out myself, though it probably wasn't such a good idea. I found out what I needed to know, and figured that would be the last time I'd speak with him again. And that was that.
Goodness, I thought everyone would be saddened at his being away, as opposed to being pissed at me. I'm sorry.

na, don't worry about it claw, i don't think any of us where mad at YOU.. more just confused why he would tell you that he was basicly leaving us... breaking off the friendships he had with us.. I mean... that's not something you handle well hearing from someone other then the person who should be saying it. I mean.. don't know if that's exactly what's going on... but that's how it came accross to me anyways.

I was thinking it might be kinda cool if we did something like, i don't know, prayed for donnie together. every day... like, we could post prayers for him in his blog each day..

It might be a totally stupid idea.. but it was just a thought, what do you guys think?

Claw: I don't think anyone was angry with you at all. More just concerned. You're just fine. *smile*

While I think Donnie would be very moved by how much he is missed, we also need to extend him some grace and space if that's what he needs right now. We have no way of knowing what is going on in his personal or professional life and I think we all know Donnie well enough to know that he would have no reason except for a very good reason to take a break from CGR. I think that as Donnie's friends we should keep him in our prayers and hope quietly for his return, trusting that a godly man has godly priorities. I think he would do the same for any one of us. You all know that you mean a lot to him.

He didn't precisely say that he was leaving us, nor did I ask about a return. I'm merely not expecting one soon, but I'm also a cynical little being.
