| My week has been fine, but for one thing
I had to come to work.
I keep telling them they can just send me a paycheck in the mail
But noooooooo. They want me to come and like do stuff.
What's up with that. It would be a whole lot easier if they just send me a check every 2 weeks and not have to bother seeing me.
Employers... what do they know.
Other than that I am pretty good. Been playin my guitar and playin GCR.
Have not harrassed anyone today or been particularly grumpy in my Old age.
There is a guy that I work with and i have been ministering to him. He goes to church every sunday that he is home, but from his actions, he is far from Christ. I am not sure he really understands the whole 'confess with your heart thing' so, you know me, I am setting him straight. I am going to get him a good student bible tommorro and hopefully that will jumpstart him a little bit. He goes to a babtist church that only uses the 1611 KJV and he doesn't even take a bible with him because he stumbles over the language. I particularly like the KJV but understand that language should not be a stumbling block to someone's walk with christ. Pray for me to have the words for him and pray for him to have a softened heart cause in the end only Jesus can save him, I can only show him the path.
That's all for now

| I will certainly be praying, and I'm glad that you have this chance to minister to someone. I'm also glad that you don't think it's your responsibility to save him.

| Dude, I used to go down FM 666 on my way home!... until my car started spewing transmission parts all over one of the curves (it was a standard...). All of a sudden I didn't have a fifth gear. It sucked.
You are incredibly poetic... I write songs, but they are rather short... they get a point across (like a song "Say Go" and another one "Praise"). I may post them in my blog soon.
But yeah, I went to Banquete a few times... we even played y'alls football team in a scrimmage once (Mathis High School played them... I was on JV). I knew a couple of people from there, but not many. I forget who I knew, also.
And yeah, I saw your Lowe's being built when I went through there once. We have one in Kingsville that has only been here for a year. I think maybe they are building a little too fast, but that is alright. As long as we have one, I am happy.
We recently got a Chili's too! And I don't know which rig martin works at, but I rememeber he had a white company truck he was driving... huge Ford F-350 or 250 or something like that. |

| Thanks for the compliment,
Yeah I get kind of long winded on my songs, makes them very difficult to play. Short and sweet are the best ones to play, they don't get so monotonous.
I look forward to reading some of your material so get it up there.
I also worked with a guy named Clyde or Claudio, he was the Full Back for ya'll on the team that lost the state championship in the Astrodome about 5-6-7 years ago.
He was pretty cool guy, still hear from him every once in a while.
I will keep my eye out for martin.
Later dude

| Clyde Veliz? Yeah, he was a really cool guy. He was a great player. Got over 1000 yards and that whole bit.
I'll try to get some stuff up... I already have some old poetry and stuff in the Lit forums. I think is it "Caught up in Nothing" or something like that. |

| My Life in a Song(secondtry) I sang to God in church the other day
With my guitar, in that special way
Reserved to pour out my heart to Him
God uses our time to minister to them
The lost souls are floating by
They hear the message like you and I
But the melody gets them through
Their hunger for the Lord's not same as me and you
chorus:
God please use me
Put me up there on the cross
And be a beacon to the lost
put me right at Jesus' side
Let me light up someones life
You ask me what I wanna do
God Please use me
Put me right up their with you
I don't wanna take His Place
Just be recognized by His Face
I realize what my sin has cost
I don't want my faith disappearing like a morning frost
Not take for granted choices I make
Testify to people for their own sake
Use me as tool in your chest
I am your scribe to the east and to the west
chorus:
God please use me
Put me up there on the cross
And be a beacon to the lost
put me right at Jesus' side
Let me light up someones life
You ask me what I wanna do
God Please use me
Put me right up their with you
My hands shake as I play another song to You
My voice waivers and my neck turns red too
I find steadfast love from you calms my life
Through me your song ends other people's strife
Use my humble talents, they are a gift from you
I know we spread the word in every thing we do
My gift of song has made many people sad
Realizing all the many chances they've had
bridge:
Nail my hands to this guitar, Lord for you I would go that far
Just deliver a lost soul through me, through you Lord great I'll be
I wanna take on someones pain, help deliver them from the rain
A slave to Christ I am, I hope you understand
Chorus
God please use me
Put me up there on the cross
And be a beacon to the lost
put me right at Jesus' side
Let me light up someones life
You ask me what I wanna do
God Please use me
Put me right up their with you
OK I went and took a lot of words out and changed a few. Any suggestions my faithfull friends. I think I will post this in the songs forum next. Feedback, critique is welcome.

| Glad to have cleared that up for you, you can critique it if you want, tell me if you like it or thought it was stupid. that is why I put it here.
I use a finger picking through G2 D Em7sus2(i guess) and C through out the verses, at a moderate pace if that helps any. Just a song I wrote wanted feedback on.

You seem to be a man of few words

| A few thoughts. Well, I have spent a little time cruzing through some blogs, the theology forum, advice, music and CGR lit. Lot of words flow through this forum every day. I posted my opinion in a few and tried to offer advice, but I guess the major benifit was to me. While I read through the theology posts, and people quote scripture, and I say, oh I know that one. Then I think, thats not what the text means. Some times I was correct(well maybe like once) and usually I was wrong. But I started looking them up, and reading things in context and, although I study scripture, I began to really learn a few things.
In these forums, I guess you get to practically apply scripture. Like on the job training where no one can see you. I read a text reference somebody has posted, I can say "thats not right" then go look it up with out ever having people know how ignorant I was.
Very cool. OF course now I have told all of you fine people my secret so after you have read this go ahead and kill you.
Gotta go.

| Don't kill me...
I'm already dead to the world! uhhh...
Your song...It's quite profound and incorporates feelings and urges that I can't find precise words to describe. You did a good job! I read it and I was like...whoa, that's sooo what I want to do(particularly about nailing your hands to the guitar).
Keep it up man.
I find that with my songs I have to jam so many words into one measure it leaves me with no breath and shrivelling up like an inhaling anorexic. Hmmm.
But songs can have the lengthiest length if you wish. The best ones are the ones that go for ten minutes I reckon. Mine ALWAYS go for the standard 4-5 minutes. THere seems like there's no point to one minute songs, even if they're really good.
Have fun with your job. I don't have to work !!!!!!!!! |

I like long songs. Do you post yours anywhere? I'd love to check them out.I Quote: |

| Hmmm indeed. Never heard of an inhaling anorexic. But i know what you mean. Gotta insert 4 bars of lead guitar before the chorus to recuperate.
People without jobs Suck!!!! I am jeolous.
Well gotta go, thanks for the encouragement.

| Yeah, I had a thread in the literature forum called 'A Depressing Book Of Abhorrence' (uhh what was I thinking...) but it's lost somewhere within the masses of poetic friends that suppress a lonesome thread worthy of but a rectangle on the corner of nowhere
I do insert 4 measures of lead guitar before the chorus... It's just my verses are constant flows of words because I only write songs to say what I want to say and I usually say a lot. Not that anyone hears what I say...
Moving right along.
I dunno, maybe one day I might make another thread in the songwriting forum, but most of my stuff just goes in my blog. Yet most of my stuff in my blog is just random thoughts concocted at my keyboard
Yes but I have to go to school. so sad.
Keep up the songwriting man. |
