JOC - Worlds Apart

Ok i have all of the picking part but the chords for the chorus and further are very hard and since i'm figuring it out off of a DVD it may take me longer. Tell me what you think this is off the DVD "With Open Hearts: a Community in Worship"

it sounds really good! I haven't heard that song in a long time, though. Technically speaking, you'd probably save yourself a lot of time and headache using a slower tempo and replacing those dotted eighth notes with just eighth notes and so on. That way, it will match up with the metronome and the bars will each start with a chord change. Here's an example.

I just got done tabbing out the entire part of the song up to the point where Steve switches guitars and Matt takes over the acoustic. I was going off of the 11live DVD and several other tabs people had done of this song, and while I know that there may be a few errors in the fingerpicking and some of the flourishes that Steve adds and other little nuances are missing, I think this is as close to accurate as maybe anybody else has come (I'll ultimately leave that judgement up to everyone else).

Send me an email or post here if you want me to send you the file. I would want several other people to look over it and make sure I didn't miss anything huge before I submitted it. So if you want, let me know and I'll send you the file. Any criticism and critique is welcome.

are you talking about a text tab or powertab? if it's a powertab, you can just post it here.

Didn't realize that, but here it is, found where it can be done. Only other note I realized about the file that I can think of at the moment is that not all of the chords are in the little chord dictionary thing for guitar 1.

Anyway, enjoy.

Cool, looks good. As it is, I hardly know how to use the power tab editor, I just figured out what I needed to to get what I had. Thanks for adding in those extra little things!

Do you mean the part that starts with "I looked beyond the empty cross..."? I may try to figure that out if I can find some time (spare time comes and goes here at school), but with the chords that are in the ptab that I did up you can play all of the original version, just at the aforementioned section just listen to the track for cues and switch back and forth between the open high B string and open, 2nd fret and 4th fret of the high E string, eventually picking up with the chord progression used during the "take my world apart, I am on my knees..." section.
