| AIM with me into the wee hours of the morning. Hmmm....
Ok, hope the mods dont mind, but Im gonna use this page to store some of my favorite links. If its a problem please let me know so that I can take them down myself. I hate mods comming in and messing with stuff, and then I get all confused because I dont know what happened. Though I realize its totally within your authority to do what ever you feel is best without giving warning, I would just prefer to know before you act.

lets see what do yall need to know?......ummmm
muh names andrew. Im 18, and registered to vote
Im into Rock, mostly hard, and heavy metal. dont mess with my music taste, i am VERY touchy about it. For some reason (i dont know why) people just say one off thing about the music i like, an i just seem to explode. so yall on cgr just have to be patient with me when we talk music.
im learning guitar, hope to get real good at it someday. my current equipment is a
: $35 blue no name brand acoustic guitar. that is currently falling apart, lol
and a gig bag with a tear in it .
future equipment: fender squire bullet, 10watt ibanez practice amp. more guitar books.
I also like martial arts, i used to be a green belt in chun kuk do in middle school. Perhaps someday i will take lessons again?
So no one gets confused about what i believe here it is:
1: Im a baptist, and believe in stoping just short of drowning person when baptizing!
2: i believe raising hands, and dancing is perfectly ok in church.
3: i believe churches should become more oriented towards a younger age group.
4: i believe the consitution is the ultimate law of the land, and thus should be used to interpret all other laws, not the other way around!.
5: i believe the second amendment is an individual right! And that no polotician in washington, or austin has the right, nor ability to remove that right from me!
6: i support capitol punishment, dont argue with me on this point, we will just walk away from it angry.
7: i dont insult your musical preferences, you dont insult mine, we will get along fine.
those are just my opinions which are firmly stuck in my head, and for the last 2 years no one has been able to convince me to change my mind on any point.
there are lots of little things about me no one knows, but if you ever talk to me, its easy to begin to figure them out. also, i have adhd, so my mind tends to wander...and so does my conversation.

big issues for me
gay marriages
gun control
patriot act II
home land security,
and after that, the usual stuff people vote about, taxs, gas prices, etc

| Welcome to GGR, demon_hunter.
I have to honestly say that I'm disinterested in heavy metal music. It makes my head hurt . My favorite contemporary band is Jars of Clay, but my favorite style of music is Classical. Composers like Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Dvorak's New World Symphony, and Holst's The Planets, are among my favorites. I have nothing against metal in general, I just don't enjoy it .
I grew up Baptist. Strictly hymns for worship, strict dress-code, communion every week, lots of baptisms, and generally dull services were the norm for the first 12 or so years of my life.
We dropped the Baptist label 5 years ago, and I'm pretty sure things took a turn for the worse. The only positive thing is that we are more Spirit-led, but still Cessationist. Otherwise, we've turned into a "seeker-sensitive" church, and our weekly attendance has doubled. The sermons are less deep, the worship is hymn-less , and the general mood of the services is entertainment-oriented. Not good .
I'm looking around town for other churches. The one I like the most is the Calvary Chapel just down the street from my house. I'm praying about making them my home church.
Anyways, a little about myself, besides music tastes and church. I'll be 18 in 17 days, on Sept. 18, all registered to re-elect President Bush and flush the Johns in November . I'm a senior in high school.
I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend Sarah (ForgivenPix), whom I met last October at an apple orchard (she was a good pick ). We wrote letters back and forth and grew in our friendship until May, when we committed to a deeper, long-distance dating relationship. Today is actually our five-month anniversary! Next month will be special: one year since we met and six months since we've been exclusive/dating. I've never been in a distance relationship before (she lives an hour away), but so far I really like it. It forces us to commit, to stay in touch, and to pace the relationship. We're in this for the long haul: we both committed to more than a fling back in May.
She is really special to me, and I am really blessed to have her in my life . She is really strong in her faith, and she's from a good family, like me. We just keep praying that we'll know God's will for our relationship, that we'll be in His timing, give Him glory, and honor Him in our thoughts and actions together, and be a salt and light and demonstrate a God-centered, God-glorifying dating relationship to our peers. It may seem like I'm making all this a big deal, but that's because it is. A girl's heart is no small thing to play around with . I just pray for strength and wisdom as I try to lead us and keep us God-centered.
So, enough about me.
Just thought I'd drop in and say "hi and welcome to CGR".
Drop by my journal (follow the link in my signature) anytime.

| whoa!!! sean dude, ltns, lol.
i wish i had time to sit down an respond to all of what you said. but i got church in a couple hours, and i need to get ready, plus i need to find a tab, an im not sure they have the right one on this site .
capitol punishment - for rapist, 1st degree murder, child molesters. <~~~those are whom i would like to see cp applied to. as of now it only applies to people who commited murder during the commision of another felony, such as robbery.
invasion of rights by state capitol - dont be fooled ever into thinking your rep has your rights in mind when he votes. tho he may actually be concerned for your rights, you as a citizen must always assume that he is not on your side. and must write letters to him/her to let him/her know your position on this. and to let them know who holds the real power in america...THE PEOPLE!
am i opiniontated, and have i ever considered that im wrong? - yup, ive considered whether or not im wrong. all the time dude, but i have people that i listen to that either support what i believe, or will corect me if i am wrong. and i generally trust their opinions. and yes i am opinionated

| Friday morning!
the day quickly aproaches that my freedom, and life will be taken from me.
well, maybe im being over-dramatic. im signing up for school on the 7th. For Ged courses. And possibly apply for a job the same day.
im still tryin to get that E power chord down on the switchfoot intro. i have touble going from that, to the bend on the 4th fret. my calouses have also worn off, so im doing all these sliding, and bending, and holding down strings really tight with no calouses. i stopped yesterday after i realized that simple tremolo action hurts my fingers now (from over work). I LOVE THE PAIN DUDES!!!!! maybe today after some good solid practice ill get it down better.
i had a really kick*** dream last night. the sky was totaly clouded up, accept for one circle, and the sun was shining thru, but barely, cause there was thin cloud cover in the circle. but then it started getting darker, and i looked up, and all of a sudden the clouds completely blotted out the sun. And i knew what was going on (the end of the world), cause it said somethin like that would happen in the bible, then suddenly the clouds, the stars, the sun, were all blown away. I mean, its like God actually breathed on them, an they just flew away. then there was this wierd light in the sky (but not the sun, cause it was blown away), and then i woke up, and realized it was a dream.
also, i had every sound operators nightmare last night to. i dreamed i pluged a mike into the mixer, and everything started buzzing, and i tried to pull the mic out, ,adn turn that channel off, but it wouldnt go away. (oh, and this mixer was 10ft tall, and super wide) so someone had to come open it up during the service to manually shut that channel off. maybe im just jittery cause my churches old 20 channell mixer is finally out of the shop!!!! WHOOOHOOOO (my baby is back home now )
thats it for now, maybe ill have somethin to say later

| HI, I'm Megan (albeit the apparant ignorance and conceit found in todays society one would have guessed as to my screen name<<)
*I'm so excited to meet you!*
Well, you'll be glad to know someone here is 99.999% with you on the genre preference for music. Demon Hunter is one of my fav bands at the moment. I despise pop or any kind of hill billy chum music. The .001% stands for my guilty fetish of being able to tap my feet to crazy stuff like Radiohead.
Well, I'm an Aussie but I do have views on the American governmental romanticism:
I am Anti-Bush. I really have no place to say but I think he's a sanctimonial jerk bent on bombs and atomic weapons. But really what would I know. I could go into a whole lot of postulation and descrimination and prophesying and generalizing but I think it's really late in the night here and I can't be bothered right now.
I am a non-denominational. W00t w00t for me!
I just got APC's 3 libra's tab and can play it perfectly and I'm so like, yay because it's a pretty song and one of the one's that really touch me...There's a few songs that do that. But then again I'm a girl, thus making me ten times as much susceptible to grave melancholistic depression by exposure to beauty.
Yes well, welcome to CGR, you'll love it here. Come to my journal, I need friends. You seem like a pretty cool guy. |

| well meggie, tho i dont agree with your political stance, im glad to see someone saying what they think about our president. that is afterall what our electoral system is all about.
tho, dont get my wrong about my musical preferences, tho i love hardrock, and any heavy metal i hear, i like all styles of music. im one of those wierd people who can sit down in a room and listen to classical, or southern gospel, and then go into another room and bang my head to some tfk, or 12 stones tunes. "I FEEL LIKE IM FALLIN, FARTHER EVERY DAY, BUT I KNOW, THAT YOUR THERE, WATCHIN OVER ME!!!!!!!!!!" <~~~one of the most awsome songs in the world.
"ive got to shout it from the rooftops, proclaim it from the mountain tops, let the world around me know that jesus saves!!" <~~~koolest southern gospel song ever!!!!
thats kool that your non-denom, to much stock is put in what denomination you are (tho i personally profess to be a baptist). we sorta loose focus on whats really important when we argue about what denomination is better.
________________________________________________________________
yeah, ive been known to have some odd ones. i used to be plagued by this one dream where i was walkin thru a forest with some guys, and snakes killed us all by jumping THRU us. and i had a stretch during middle school where i had mostly nightmares, but the wierd thing is i enjoyed all of them .
________________________________________________________________
hurricane frances hurled a storm at texas yesterday, and we got rain this mornin, looks like more may be on its way. this is all wattering the weeds on the fence which i am currently trying to kill .

the day draweth nigh that gun owners will finally beable to get flashcompensators, and folding stocks, and bayo lugs for their guns. yes people, the ASSAULT WEAPON BAN is expected to end on the 13th. i wish i had saved my money, i wanted to get a rifle with a fc, and fs, plus some other things that are gonna be un banned.
see im drooling already!!

________________________________________________________________
the quest continues to write better lyrics, and figure out better sounding chord progressions for my song! I have some lyrics posted in the songwriting forum, check em out, tell me what yall think.

i saw some kool pickups in a magazing the otherday, humbuckers that take up the space of a single coil pickup! an i then had a wierd thot, what if someone made a 6 pickup guitar. with 3 tone, 3 volume, have 2 pickups wired into 1 t/v control. and set up 2 or 3 selector switches to control different sound options. and maybe make built-in distortion controls on the guitar.
i wonder how much of an electrical/technical nightmare that guitar would be for a luthier?
anyways, thats my musings, and thots for this afternoon

Don't worry, you'll get an obsession with CGR and your IT skills will flourish and maybe you'll then know just what I'm on about.
I really have no enthusiastic political campaigns. There is no party that offers the liberated world free of poverty and disease, and uniform so that the equiliaser will subdue this popularity domineerance. But then I go contradicting myself, by being the greatest anarchist and make a stand for being different. So how can a banal perfect world satisfy the need for distinction? There is no way. So we indulge on imperfection. And I guess it makes me the unreceptive blonde-type(arr I'm actually a brunette) to pretend to want World Peace but wanting to stand out of the crowd myself, what a farcical aspiration! I must say I like to think I'm left wing, but at times I open my eyes to find I've deviated to the right. So confusing when I don't even know my own morale. But know this: I heard that the Republic constitution wishes to remove the Christian influence portrayed in it's doctrines.
I just had to post that smilie.
Yes, basically that's the same with me about the music preferences. I have actually just arrived back from Melbourne where I attended Youth Aive concert for my Youth Group. I totally got into the R&B (american group Katinas) and all, I sang so loud but I didn't care cos I was doing what I wanted to do and apparently I'm a good singer and hence my opinion, I don't embarrass myself. Right now I'm listening to Dead Poetic-New Medicines MP3. Do you like???
I feed on music and if it suddenly became banned, I'd definately turn anorexic and wither into a music-deprived skeletal decompostition.
Denominations signify the differences in which we set ourselves apart. We need to unite and just see Jesus. Because he's it and he's the one and all that matters is him because he died for me and you because he likes me and because he likes me he decided to take my pain.
I get a lot of naked dreams...
Been fun!!!
Till next time. |
