late saturday afternoon

i just wrote another song today. it took all of 5 or 6 minutes to sit down and really consider what i wanted to write about. i think i will post the lyrics in songwriting forum later this week.

i drop tuned my guitar to "daddad" tunning, i played with some fun chords on that today. and i believe i may have an openner, and verse notes for the afformentioned song. im gonna definately make it a dark sounding song. the verse vocals are gonna be in deep growls, and the chorus vocals will be a bit cleaner. Atleast thats the direction im taking with it now.

Ive been workin on my first one for a month now, and its gone 2 directions already. by the time im done i have no clue what itll be like. I still need feedback on that first song, sudgestions, ideas. Im totaly new to songwriting, and have no clue what ive gotten myself into. So, the more help the better.
________________________________________________________________

My baby (the 20 channel mixer at church) i think (hope) is back in its booth now, and ready for me to test it on sunday morning. I know the repair guys already took her for a spin, but it just aint the same as gettin to do it yourself. I hope it runs smoothly, and im glad we finnaly got rid of that stupid 15 channel one we have been workin with, it is so touchy, and has less sound "options" on it then the 20.
tho, it does have 4 stage speaker groups, with is 2 more then the 20 channel had. .
________________________________________________________________

after i drop tuned my guitar (see above), i tried doing the meant to live intro, man it sounds so much kooler like that. ive also been expiramenting with trying to improvise stuff on the D string, including heavy use of bends. Its sounding, choppy, but sweet so far .

well thats all i have to say for now. ttyl

coolness! You must post the lyrics.
I write songs but they are essentially found dark and obscure. I also like to muck around on my guitar and have some really wicked compositions in drop D. I might be joining my Youth Band soon...either lead guitar or lead singer. Ahh so exciting. I have a good friend who plays bass and we are sort of forming our little dreams on foundations in the sky. Do you like punkish stuff? Emo-Screamo-alternative rock? Like say...Underoath? I love it. I am generally flexible in the music I'm able to listen to, anything with fast or/and electrical (hey wait I like acoustic too) I guess I'm trying to say I like anything not done with symphisisers or that's contemporary like all that techno stuff. Metal Rock Punk is the way to go...........................................

Random questions:[INDENT]1. favourite band?
2. Least favourite band?
3. favourite colour?
4. least favourite colour?
5. favourite song ever?
6. Do you like AFI?
7. Height?
8. Hair colour?
9. eye colour?
10. Fav movie?
11. Fav book?

Seeya'll!

________________________________________________________________

the lyrics will be on songwriting a few minutes after i post this.

i have made the bridge notes now, and i may have some verse notes (but im still playing with them). i wont post those up till i have finished with them, but im getting close!

i havnt worked on the other song in a week or so, i got so burned out tryin to figure stuff out for that one, i just lost interest. I may pick it back up after i get my next guitar. hopefully that will be soon.

well, thats all for now, peace yall

Im not totaly shure what i want to do tho. <~~~this give any clue to my confusion?

oh, an to answer meggie's question, no im not in a band. but i hope to be someday....well actually, me and 3 of my friends started one as a joke, and now only me, and one other guy are actually goin thru with it, but we dont practice, or play together like band members would. so its more like, 2 guys practicing bad technique once a week together

well after today, if id ont have to buy books, then i can go out and buy my guitar (yay), but if i have to buy books, gonna be a another coupla weeks. unless i can get a job, in wich case, itll be alot quicker.

a friend of mine joined the USAF, and i had decided a while back to join the USMC, and if i hadnt dragged my feet on getting the ged, i would probably be in already, or atleast in the final steps.

YOU DONT LIKE HEAVY METAL?

thats ok, neither do my parents

ok, well school is going kool so far, but im still waiting to be assigned a class. as it stands all the ged students are metting in the lecture hall this week, then we will find out where to go, hopefully today, or next monday.

speaking of next monday. the AWB is set to expire. i hope all the firearms enthusiast are lining up outside of stores to get the new rifles. by the way, i heard something on good morning america from a police cheif, that was wrong, and so before any of you tell me about it, i am gonna say this.

Myth: Assault Weapons can fire 700 rpm's
Fact: No rifle banned in '94 had the capability to fire more then one round per trigger pull.

Myth: Certain features were banned cause it saved lives to do so.
Fact: Features like flash "compensators", bayonette mounts, and telescoping (folding) stocks do not cause more harm to people. They are mainly cosmetic features, and do not affect the operation of the rifle.

Myth: Assault weapons are some how more powerful then guns not banned.
Fact: The rifles, and features that were banned are no more or less powerful then currently leagal firearms.

anyways, thats my rant for this mornin.

well, i better get ready for school (yay!!)

SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLS OUT FOR THE WEEKEND!!!!

sorry, that was a bad thing to do to a good song. but still, no more school this week for me, and next week, only 3 days i have to go to school the rest of this semester! WHOOHOO!!!.

Also, i found out i wont have to pay anything in as far as i know. so H&H, here i come!!!!

i got to hear the intro for a song i wrote on a friends guitar with distortion, it sounded ok, but i dont think his was in the same tune as mine. which is why im thankful i will have my own soon.

i think i have finally decided on a rythym for the untitled song i posted in songwriting. and i have decided on the notes for the chorus.
and i still do not have a title for it. Im up for sudgestions.

anyways, thats all for now.
