SYATP was great this year. We had about 40 people also but the most amazing thing is that people would come up to us and ask what we were doing and we about 7 people get saved that day just because we were standing out in the cold singing songs and praying around a flag pole.

It went pretty good with us, too.

Only about 50 people came. That's good, but in a school of 2,500 with 10% professing follwers of Christ, there should have been 250. Oh well, it's not about the numbers.

Those who came were edified, I hope. I'm pretty sure no theological toes were stepped on.

I'm pondering the idea of holding something like it once a month. I'm also involved in leadership with the campus Bible study. We're planning some kind of outreach event every two months, as well as doing P.R. for local church events. It's cool to network all the local churches together, to unify them in the work of the Lord.

Sorry for the tangent.

Overall, it was a good experience, and I thought it was a cool event.

Haha! I did that in my last year of high school. It was really funny, the next day on the bus some of the other students were like.. "Well and least those freaks are not praying around the flag pole this morning." and then I went on this huge rant to them... good times!

Peace and love,
Rhonda.
