Chord Based playing (don't read music)

I'm new to this forum and I've read through a few threads. I'm looking for any web sites or books that cover chord based playing only (or for the most part). I never learned to read music, and play by chord only and want to learn more about playing octaves with left hand and chords with right. I've been playing for a couple of years, mostly self taught with just a few lessons in beginning. I play keyboard for P/W at church and want a "fuller" sound. Would really appreciate any suggestions, advise, books, web-sites that stress chord based keyboard/piano. That's probably a tall order. I'm considering course on www.chordpiano.com, but don't know if I want to spend $100 w/o knowing if it's any good. Thanks in advance! Suzie

I've never seen any books that teach how to play by chord. Personally, I play by ear, and nobody taught me that. My mother plays awesomely (yikes, is that a word?) with the chord method. My sister plays by sightreading, and one of my brothers is learning by chords. The only advice I can give is to experiment. Try new techniques, and just keep teaching yourself.

I don't know of any websites or books that would help you. I'll keep looking...

Acts 1:8 -- But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye sahll be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Mark 16:15-18 -- And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall hlay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
