Monopoly

Ok, what rules do you follow? Do different years of Monopoly have different rules?

All Monopoly games should have the same rules. Except for monopoly junior. What's the problem?? HAve you noticed a difference in the rules?

The rules are basically the same, although there are OPTIONS you can change.

Such as: Free Parking DOESN'T accumulate any taxes,
No buying houses/hotels while in jail,
Landing precisely on GO gives you $400 instead of just $200.

etc.,
etc.

Can I just say I LOVE getting the red territories:

One time a mathematician analyzed Monopoly and said people land on the red territories more than anywhere else.

So: Fat cats trying to work on building up Boardwalk will never survive the commie attack of the red!

I generally do taxes on free parking, but not always. That is the only deviation I use. Other then that, I am totally by the book.

The best way to win is to make an opponent focus all of their efforts on Boardwalk and Parkplace. Your victory is nearly assured if you get them to buy both of those.

I believe the best strategy is to get the green pieces and then put houses on them. They end making more than park place and boardwalk and the red pieces.

green pieces suck.. they cost the most to put houses/hotels on.. especially with the build evenly rule.. you need to get orange, lavender, and both purplish shades (at least 2-3 of them).. and build houses on them quickly to force them to lose money very quickly

BTW i have never lost a game of monopoly.. EVER..
