| A song...Reflection A few days ago, my lit teacher told us all to go look at the stars for our homework(we're studying transcendentalism) and really think about what we saw. I got bored with the stars and my attention drifted to the full moon. After staring it and thinking, this is what I wrote: Staring at the sky on a starry night
The moon is big and full and bright
But the moon doesn't shine with its own force
It gets its light from another source
The sun, it brings this light I see
It shines on the moon and onto me I want to be the moon-In the glow of the Son
Then reflect his light on everyone They're staring at me and wondering why
My life is big and full and bright
But I don't shine with my own force
I get my light from another source
My Jesus is this light they see
It shines on them cause it shines in me I am the moon-In the glow of the Son,
Reflecting his light on everyone A light so bright it can't be hid
A love so amazing it's popping the lid
A joy so abundant it must be shared
A life with hope, nothing else can compare Be the moon-In the glow of the Son
Then reflect his light on everyone
Be the moon-In the glow of the Son
Then reflect his light on everyone |
