When I saw the offer earlier, I checked out if you could cancel it, if it would cost anything, etc. I specifically remember seeing that you could not cancel your account before the free trial ended, and thus you would have to pay for at least one month of it before you could cancel it.

Seraphim700000, I need your referral link. PM it to me please.

Wow. You're right. I thought I'd looked at it before and it said credit was instant, but now it says you can't cancel the free trial. I wonder if Blockbuster complained to Gratis about too many people cancelling without even trying the service. (That's why it's always a good idea to go for offers you're legitimately interested in, if any exist; the system doesn't work if too many people just cheat the trials). Then again, my memory could just be failing me.

You can clear your computer of all your cookies and use another email address. I think that should work fine.

Would they see that as foul play or something?

The only thing I could think is if you use the same shipping address. I don't think it would be a problem, but I could be wrong. I mean, if you don't try and get an iPod with both accounts, I don't think they will care. But I think the worse that could happen is you yourself being put on hold. Like I said, I could be wrong.

I don't think it would work. I'm pretty sure they record IP addresses as another measure against rule breaking etc.

But then two people wouldn't be able to sign up from the same public computer. I don't think they'd be too anal about IP addresses; shipping addresses, credit card numbers...I imagine that sort of thing is what they'd be worried about.

If you're really worried about it, you could always just contact Gratis' technical support and see if they'd have an issue with signing up for a new account so you can give a referral to someone else....

How do I do that?? I can't figure out how to contact ANYONE

I need to contact someone from there anyways, cause they might think I'm a cheet or something becasue of an issue that happend over the offer I chose (stamps.com or some such thing), and had to cansel all the same day cause of some stupid mess ups. I'm glad I cansled anyway. The last guy I spoke on the phone with from there was a jerk he was mean and made me cry probably cause I didn't really know to well what I was talking about disapointing, cause I REALLY wanted to try that stamp.com thing ah well.

Then no AOL user would ever be able to use it. That can't be right.
