Say Anything....

I recently discovered this band...and they just release their first label album. Anyone other than Sean, RAkel and Jeff heard of them? I think they are incredible and so does Jeff. What say you?

...you can download their old tracks here. Their new stuff is rather different.

Sean Suggests:
Woe
Belt
Alive With The Glory of Love (Treblinkah)
Resounding
Sappy
Every Man Has a Molly
Admit It!

As I told Sean, their new release "Say Anything is a Real Boy" is the first great punk rock release of the new century.

Lyrically, they can lean a bit profane at times, but overall Bemis' writing is clever and fresh.

The song "Admit It!!!" is a song that many folks in this very forum would do well to hear.

I am liking the songs so far. Pretty good stuff.

Although, I didn't see "admit It!!!" anywhere.

Thats because its on the album. The stuff on that website is their older material. Some of those songs made it on the album, but they re-recorded them.

So, who all has checked this group out? I know a few regulars here have recently mentioned falling in love with the disc. I would venture that "Say Anything is a Real Boy" was the best album of 2004.

I haven't been able to find it in any music stores or else I would have bought it. What do you suggest?

My local Borders had about 12 copies when I picked up mine.

Indeed a wondeful album.

I'll have to check them out after I buy books for school and get another paycheck, which will be a while.
