It's true for me that some of the songs from ...is a real boy took some time to grow on me. However, my initial liking of all of the songs on that album was higher than my first opinion of "Skinny Mean Man." That said, I did find myself singing it today. So it seems it too is growing on me.

| Two more songs will be available tonight, one on iTunes and one on MySpace. I'm thinking that between these two songs, either my faith will be restored or smashed to pieces. |

| Well, I just heard Skinny Mean Man for the first time, and I love it. I'm much more impressed by this than anything on Was a Real Boy. I'm confident that I'm going to love this album at least as much as ...Is a Real Boy. |

| I like both of these songs more than the first song, but neither of them are blowing my mind. Shiksa has some pretty cool melodies and backing vocals, but once it gets going there's nothing really surprising. I've only heard 30 seconds of "Baby Girl, I'm a Blur" so I can't really say much about it, but I liked the 30 seconds and its something different for them. |

#84 | | ♥ Mrs. Skeeter ♥ | I like these songs too, although I also have only heard 30 seconds of "Baby Girl, I'm a Blur." I'm starting to think that maybe the reason why these new songs are all so underwhelming is that I am comparing my initial opinion of them to my initial opinion of ...is a Real Boy. That's not exactly fair, though. When I first heard ...is a Real Boy I was blown away and instantly loved it because I hadn't heard rock quite like that before, or at least not recently. I'm sure if I'd never heard any other Say Anything songs that I would love these new ones as much as I loved ...is a Real Boy. Or at least that's what I'll tell myself for now until I have a chance to hear the whole album.

| I love the opening vocals of Shiska, but I agree that once the song gets rolling it's not all that great. It's still a pretty solid track though, much better then Skinny Mean Man. And I've also only heard the 30 second clip of Baby Girl... but I certainly liked that half minute of music a good deal.

| They really are trickling this thing out. They put up yet another new and different song on their MySpace. Like all the others, it isn't bad. It has some things i like about it and its enjoyable, but overall, its fairly underwhelming. |

| I think "Spores" is terrible. I'm glad Bemis still supports Purevolume (so many bands don't even have one, or haven't updated it in years), but man...I've officially gone from "hopeful" to "wary." "Spores" is musically boring, a bit goofy in a half-baked sense, and the lyrics are some of Bemis' worst.

| Part of me is really glad I haven't had an opportunity to listen to any of the songs yet... |

#90 | | ♥ Mrs. Skeeter ♥ | "Baby Girl I'm a Blur" is up on myspace now. It almost sounds like a dance remix. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but it's a pretty fun song.
