Star Wars; Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

http://www.starwars.com/episode-iii/...s20040724.html

I searched and didn't find a thread specifically about Episode III, so I thought I'd start one. Anyway... what better way to start one than with the just announced title? Personally I am very pleased with this selection.

I think it's a good title. I just hope that the movie is good, I wasn't overly impressed with episodes I and II.

the title is good...i just hope it's not like episode I (i.e. C-Span with lasers). I also hope it has more action and less love story than episode II.

......

I'm unsure what I think about this. I was hoping Georgy would be more creative. Although it does fit, I suppose.

Its not a completely lame title like "Attack of the Clones." However, its not really an interesting title in the least. Further, its very reminescent of "The Empire Strikes Back" and obviously similiar to the scraped "Revenge of the Jedi."

Which I think is cool. They got rid of "Revenge of the Jedi" because Jedi don't revenge. Thus, "Return of the Jedi." Maybe it's just me, but it think it's great to parallel that with "Revenge of the Sith" now. Plus I think it sounds a lot better than some of the other stuff that was floating around (Fall of the Republic, Rise of the Empire, etc.)

considering his track record with the last two Star Wars *films*, I would have advised you to not expect much creativity from the upcoming film's title.

Is anyone more sad that this is probably the last Star Wars movie than they are excited that another Star Wars movie is coming out?

I am .

Well, yeah. I suppose. I'd like to see some more done (if they were done, ya know, WELL), but I'm perfectly happy with the EU.

Every true star wars fan should be sad that the series is coming to a close.

That's why I'm planning a big blowout on opening day. I'm gonna buy tickets to every show that day, and dress up, and then show up with my buddy, and two sabers, and we'll beat the stew out of each other until the movie starts. And at least I will watch every show that day whether it's amazing, or terrible.

As for what to do after it... You anti-continuity (j/k) people can have your EU. The only real Star Wars for me is the films.

I think this feeling will come after I've seen the new one and have it on video and everything. Right now I'm just excited and I really like the title of the film what with it paralelling Return of the Jedi. It's rather artistic actually. and it's a lot better than Attack of the Clones.
