| I remember wetting myself at the Episode 2 trailers, greatly looking forward to the Episode 3 one... I wonder if it will be posted somewhere on the Net so I don't have to waste seven bucks on the Incredibles... not that it doesn't look cute, but... well... you know... it's not Star Wars... |

| I saw it, utterly amazing.
All I can say is that the movie had better be really good, or I am wasting my time looking forward to it.

| (english nerd moment) I think you ment "rabid" star wars fan, not "rapid" star wars fan (/english nerd moment)
I missed it...but I've heard it rocked. I cannot wait until it comes online on Monday! yes, I hope it's better than 1 and 2...but it has to join the two halves of the star wars series together, so we shall see!

| ah, I just pulled the trailer from Star Wars.com, very interesting indeed... I have the MOV pulled from my IE cache, and here I go - a frame-by-frame analysis... It's 1:42 minutes of pure geek bliss! the Dominator trailer play-by-play report (spoilers abound, you've been warned):
the OT footage was not lame, helped build the anticipation and lead into new footage... new footage? well we see Anakin and Palpy in his office, which I assume will be a major focus on the plot, as we know Anakin has two "masters" at this point, one covert, one overt. the zoom in on a hooded Anakin with an evil grimace and yellowish-green eyes was nice, an obvious comparison with Palpy in the OT with his glow-in-the-dark evil eyes. kinda cheezy but makes the point... into two scenes of the lava world we head, with a shot of several explosions of lava, and a zoom of a pair of battle droid walkers patrolling the area amidst lava flowing. now we have a visual for where Anakin gets toasted. now my favorite part - dark screen, with Palpy calling forth Darth Vader, fading in a shot of Vader in shackles being raised from laying down to upright... that scene cut with several shots of new and old footage of various characters looking shocked - Kenobi (bearded and hooded), R3 and 3PO from ANH, Padme looking very concerned in a shot with a bearded Kenobi, and Palpatine looking pleased. An glimpse of Windu looking grim but determined, raising his lightsaber over his head as he faces an unseen foe who is wearing a black (sith?) robe... a pair of wookies lifting their heads and howling (the one on the right looks quite familiar...). Yoda pulling his robe aside, bearing his lightsaber and looking rather ticked... Now we have some space battle footage, or at least in-system combat, as you can see the planet below. We see Padme and a long-haired Anakin kiss. We see Yoda again, this time with his saber, facing an unseen foe and looking ticked (still). We see the new Jedi Starfighter zooming through a space battle with a droid federation battleship. We see Windu spinning in a full 360 with his saber in an arc, most likely still battling the unseen foe we saw him battling a few seconds before... ah, this is cool - a Wookie in some sort of beads and belts standing on a bridge of sorts raising his arms over his head, with a huge army of wookies behind him. we see Kenobi facing a previously unknown alien in red, with a grey face and kind of striped / creased face. the alien bears his gruesome teeth. back to a space battle, within atmosphere, with ships doing a fly-by, unleashing some kind of electricity beams against the ship as the ship blows apart. we see Anakin battling someone or something, him charging with his saber over his head, him arcing it down in an attack. we see a cgi R2 looking very cheaply done, with an arm out. we see Padme and Anakin hugging, with her wearing her hair in a very familiar do - aka ANH and Leig... cinamin buns anyone? next up is a large Naboo freighter (most likely Padme's, looks to be the same one in the start of AOTC) flying away from a very red, fiery planet. ah, here is what we REALLY care about - Anakin and Kenobi dueling on some sort of bridge with lava flowing red in the background. We see more in-system space battles over a glowing planet - looks like Coruscant... more dueling - now Kenobi and Anakin grappling with sparks and stuff in the background... a brawl of sorts, no visible sabers. into a space battle with a ship that looks like an X-wing, but with six wings, not four, doing a fly-by of a larger ship. more dueling, this time with Kenobi flat on his back, Anakin pressing a saber down towards Kenobi's face, him grimacing and trying to hold the saber back, while Anakin holds Kenobi's saber arm as they brawl some more. we see a large blast door sliding shut with smoke and sparks and ships fleeing in the distance beyond the door. now the most interesting part in the entire trailer - a sith that looks very much like Sidious, mouth in a snarl as he swings a red saber at an unseen opponent. he is wearing a black hooded robe, very different from hsi normal kind of blue-ish fuzzy robe we normally see him in. I am pretty sure he is battling Windu, as the robe looks to be the same one we catch a glimpse of in a previous scene. Windu is snuffed by a saber-wielding Palpatine? *drool* back to more space battles over Coruscant. a massive explosion of a large ship fades into the III of Episode 3 appearing, then the movie name and a few credits. |

| *COUPLE SPOILERS*
If you pay attention at that first scene of Macew swinging his saber, you'll notice that he is in Palpy's office. Wink wink nudge nudge.
And in the scenes of Yoda, look at what's lying on the ground behind him. A person, clad in red. Remind you of anyone?

| just saw it...I thought it was interesting that they tied it in with the backstory from Ep. 4. I am definitely excited, though I hope that they have a better script for this one than the last two!!!!!

| I did not notice those things, fascinating!
Also something stuck out to me, in that Palpy is swinging his saber in an arc that would be about the right trajectory and height to decapitate someone - a move that is appropriate for Windu don't you think? (cough*jango*cough) *rubs hands together* |

| I've seen the trailer in theaters and on PC now. I'm TOTALLY stoked! I really liked how Obi-Wan's monologue from ANH was able to tie in with the subject matter of the trailer. Was a nice touch by George. I was also pleased that James Earl Jones returns as THE voice. Wouldn't be Vader without him. Quote: |

Mace, arguably the most powerful (not neccesarily wisest) Jedi, SHOULD be fighting the most powerful Sith, regardless of the location. Quote: |

| Two people, clad in red... Doesn't really remind me of anyone that I can think of...
As far as locations go, I see:
New Lava World
Coruscant (from space and in the atmosphere)
Kashyyk? (both shots with the wookies)
I'm curious now, though... Will we see what happens to Dooku? Has he been eliminated yet? Perhaps Anakin has to kill him, since to become a true Sith, you have to be the strongest, which means destroying the other apprentices. Not matter what though, looks like all heck's gonna break loose on this one. Can't wait. |

But I digress. Quote: |

| Think Return of the Jedi...who do you remember that was clad in red? They carried Force pikes. Got off an Imperial shuttle....see where I'm going yet? Quote:

Remembering set reports, Dooku only has about 10 minutes in this movie. If you watch the trailer for the Episode 3 game (see video game forum) it might shed a little more light for ya.
*End Spoilers*

| I see where you're going, and I thought of that originally... But I wouldn't exactly call two dead bodies dressed in red pants (or so it appears), evidence of their presence quite yet, although it is possible. Quote:

| Hmm... so basically, he gets killed pretty early, then? Oh, and I didn't watch that trailer yet, because it's not for any console that I own, so I don't care about it... :sniff: But I'll watch it I guess, so it may give me a little more plot information type stuff.
Also, I forgot to mention that I saw the teaser poster in person today also at the theater. Looks MUCH cooler in person and on the poster than it does just as a graphic. Much more dark and menacing, rather than just plain old odd and ugly. |
