You've pretty much got it right. All of the novels, the games, that sorta stuff makes up the EU. Most of it is generally accepted as canon, because we have no way of knowing otherwise

Well, the first half, they were on the defensive, trying to save the Jedi. I guess the case coulc be made that they attacked the second half, but I wouldn't say so.

What I think is funny, is people will go and see Episode III because it says Star Wars and they associate it with Lucas. Anybody with half a brain and following the story of the Trilogy will know exactly what will happen (Sorry for the spoilers):
Padme will have twins (obviously Luke and Leia)
Darth Sidious will lose his apprientice Darth Tyrannus (there can only be 2 sith)
Anakin will fall into molten metal/brutally lightsabered by obi wan/maybe both and require extensive robotic replacements
Palpatine will disolve the Republic (duh)
Chewbacca will probably be introduced (along with cuddly baby chewies, one probably played by the guy who played Wicket in Return of the Jedi)
The birth of Han Solo may have light shed onto it
More stupid humor from Jar Jar Binks
Awesome Space Battles complete with REALLY manervable ships and lifelike airplane sounds (although there is no way for ships to move like that or hear the sound of lasers in space)
Lots of explosions (Including something monsterously big)
New spaceships, weapons of war
typical intro with lot's of stars, zooming in on a planet or fleeing spacecraft
more tie ins with the Hutts (they have their hands in everything, like the mafia)
Some really cool high speed chase/race

Oh and I almost forgot...the girl who played on Whale rider is going to be the new queen of Naboo (Which don't take my word for it, heard gets destroyed or something like that, from other post SW readings)

Naboo can't possibly get destroyed... First of all, there's an added scene of it at the end of RoTJ now, and also, it exists in Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, and they tried their best to make all the continuity fit, so...

I'd say you've believed a rumor.

After seeing the little bit of RotS on the OT DVDs, I've decided that, no matter what, the final duel will make the whole movie worth it. It's supposed to be what?... 12 minutes long or something? Watching Anakin and Obi-Wan take it out on eachother for that long will be nothing short of spectacular.

Absolutely. It was the same way with TPM. The duel in with Darth Maul was absolutely the best part of the movie. The few little bits the we've seen of the one in RoTS tells me that it will be the BEST saber fight we've ever seen on screen. (And quite possibly one of the best swordfights overall)
