Bleach

I did a search and I couldn't find any threads about Bleach, so if there already is one, sorry. Anyways, I just saw them for the first time tonight and they're on their farewell tour. It was awesome. Is it just me or do they remind you of Weezer too?

Their farewell tour already, eh? They haven't promoted it that well. That's too bad...They are great live. I wish I could have seen them perform after Astronomy was released.

Some of the members are from my hometown, so I have seen them play live a couple times.

I think they slowly went downhill after their Forefront Records days. Did I ever think I'd be saying that Forefront put better releases than another label? Never. That is odd.

Certain things about them remind me of Weezer, but others things very much DO NOT remind me of Weezer.

Like the guy's voice. A little whiny for me.

I really liked their first CD. Had some great tunes on it - Epidermis Girl, Child of Sod, etc. Epidermis Girl still has one of the greatest bass riffs of any song. Period.

Yeah I really liked their first CD. I was listening to it just yesterday. They've had some decent songs since then, but none of the CDs have really caught my attention.

I have Static, Again For the First Time, and Astronomy and thoroughly enjoy all three and wish to own their other albums. It saddens me that they're through. They put on an amazing live show. Rock and/or Roll.

I think that Bleach is ok live however I can not say I'm very fond of the guys in the band. I think they are nice guys but not out there for the right reasons maybe that's why they aren't together anymore...I'm sorry if this offends anyone...I just have seen them after at their motels and wow...not the same!! Just disappointed...because I really liked them.

1. What does that mean?

2. Are you judging them based off one occasion or having seen them many times?

Man!!! I can't say enough about Bleach. Back before they broke up , they showed soo much versatility. All of their CD's are so different, and even though not all their cd's are really that good musicly, they can still be really fun to listen to! But Astronomy is probably the best album ever made!!! And if you have ever seen them in concert, they have such an awesome vibe, and so much energy. And i f you've ever gotten the chance to meet them, they are really genuine and personnable too. I am gonna miss them.

If you're going to make such a bold accusation, please explain yourself in more detail.

I'd like to see the answers to Sean's questions....And I'd also like to ask what kind of "not the same" do you mean?

That is stupid. They were in it for the right reasons. The reason they aren't a band anymore is because they had been together for so long, and felt they wanted to do something different with their lives, and because God was calling them do to something else.

What is their best album? I'm gonna pick up a Bleach album sometime, and I'm wondering which one you all reccomend.

"Static" is my favorite album by them, so I recommend it. After that one I'd also recommend the other forefront releases, "Bleach" and "Space".

Static is what originally got me into Bleach and their other Forefront releases are good as well. I like Again For The First Time... and Astronomy just as much though...
