Schecter C-1 Elite

I think I want one of these. All the ratings on Musician's Friend are great. It has good humbuckers and looks beautiful. I play heavy alternative rock and some metal so this'd be great. Any opinions?

It probably isn't gonna give you a great Nirvana tone (did Cobain actually care about his tone?), but looks like a sweet axe.

I was thinking of getting one of those, too. If you get it, PM me and tell me how you like it.

Well, the Schec itself probably isn't going to give you a very original sound (more like a standard rock LP-type tone), but Schecs are good guitars. As far as the pickups and metal, I got the JB, and it's not that great of a metal pickup (which is my one little problem with it, I lost my metal tone...), but for alternative to hard rock, it does awesomely.

Dude, I still have my Squier Strat. I find it hard to get rid of my guitars. Oh yeah, about the pickups, I was thinking of another model of Schecter C-1, the Classic Model.

i wouldnt go with any schecter, my friend has a schecter diamond series, all schecters are so heavy it makes the guitar crap, and their hard to make sound good, cause most of the time the overall sound of them isnt that good

Why? In fact the Les Pauls of the 50's were incredibly heavy, but they are some of the most prized guitars ever built.

What amp is that guitar being used through. A good guitar will still sound bad through a bad amp. It's all about matching your equipment.

i dunno what schecter guitar your "friend" has, but the kind i want to get is anything but crap. its not heavy! it weighs less than a les paul thats for sure. i guess the "overall sound" quality depends on your own personal tastes.
