| Two new demos I recorded I used 2 different backing tracks to demo this custom built guitar that a friend of mine made. It's a piece of art to look at and it's a pretty good player, too.
I included a pic below.
Anyway, the tunes...one is a mid-tempo minor key thing and the other is a minor blues jam. Minor key smooth rock track w/ Rockbeach CB-II guitar Minor key blues track using the CB-II guitar |

| it all sounds good guys... check out my guitar solo on myspace.com/jacobstratton. It's called metal solo I think. All the other stuff is all really old and bad so don't pay it attention... The recording itself is actually 2 years old.. I laid down my guitar for a year (stupid) while pursuing things that distracted me from God.. He is my only reason for playing so I have gotten back into it and have been woodsheding like crazy.. I got the john petrucci rock discipline dvd and must say it's worth it. So yeah, check it out. my

| Sounds good Jacob, I know God is glad to have you back!!!! My instrumentals are me, myself, and I playing around on a Korg D1600. Also play on a praise team. My Rock band days are way behind in the 80's and early 90's. Playing in the right place for the right reasons now!!

| New even better solos!!!
in
This one is using my Kramer Nightrider (which I must admit the Gibson 498 in it sounds AMAZING!!!) I used my Vox Valvetronix set on (for rhythm) UK 80's with the mids pushed, and for the solo I used OD Boutique (which is supposed to be a Dumble Overdrive).
I also made a copy of just the backing track. 80's Solo 80's backing track |

| Slow Down Blues Solo
Typical setup, UK 80's, mids pushed, Epiphone Dot, and a little delay. |

| Thought I'd offer up my work for criticism. This is a 2 minute instrumental centered around a solo... so it kind of fits in this thread right? ;p
Guitar is my Epiphone Dot (sold the LP a while ago and settled for cheaper stuff... life happens). The sounds are all from my Vox Tonelab LE direct into a Yamaha Audiogram 6 interface. rhythm OD stuff is the AC15 model with a TS808 in front and a JC120 chorus in back. cleans are AC30 with and without chorus at certain spots, and the leads are AC15 with the "Boutique OD" pedal mod. The synthesizer parts were actually just an afterthought after everything else was done. It already possessed an '80s vibe so I figured I'd just run with it. The synth was done on REAPER's MIDI editor, and the MiniMogueVA VSTi plugin. Hope you enjoy it, timing on the leads are a little off but I'm sloppy that way. Outdated Rock Formation.mp3 Quote:

For years I used a typical off-the-shelf bar-type soap and I had no idea that, even though I rinsed properly and thoroughly after every cleansing, there was still a soap scum residue on my hands and fingers.
This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight. |

Feel free do use the rhythm track.
Some more stuff blues... (the tracks are from the King of the Blues contest)
