| About time y'all added a piano/keyboard section.......... and I get to be the first to post in it! Too cool............. well lets see, what should we talk about???
I guess I'll just start by asking anyone who comes in here to list what they play...... tell us if you play acoustic piano or keyboard. And if you play keyboards, tell us which one you play (Model number)
Ok, I'll start:
I play acoustic piano and keyboards..... I don't own an acoustic, but I get to play on our churchs 9 foot grand which sounds really awesome. I think its a Baldwin if anyone cares. I also play (and own ) a Roland XV-88...... this is one of the awesomest synths out there today. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good keyboard, especially if you play praise and worship music. (I also have an Alesis SR-16 drum machine, although it really doesn't fall into the piano/keyboard category...... I recommend that machine for P&W too, BTW) Well.... that's about it, look forward to hearing y'alls replys...... this is too cool! Thanks Mickey!!!!

I play the acoustic piano at church( it is also a Baldwin ). I also play on my Kerzweil K1000 SE, its an older model but it has a outstanding acoustic sound. I also have a acoustic at home. Thanks, keyboardfreak for being the first to post on this board!

| Now THIS section i like!
I have an acoustic piano at my house, but it's an antique, and it hasn't been tuned in years so it's about a half-step low.
I also have a Casio CTK-533, awesome keyboard for the price, $130 for the keyboard, stand and adapter.
My church has about ten pianos including one grand and one baby grand.
How long has everyone here been playing? And do you take lessons?
I've been playing for about 10 years, and i've never taken a lesson in my life. |

| Hey everyone,
I've been playing for 8 years now. I've taken lessons from the beginning. At first every other week. Now I take them every week. I also take piano at my school. I never expected this many messages in so short a time! WOW!

| I'm so glad you made a piano section, Mickey!
This is more my kind of section, since I've been playing piano a heck of alot longer than guitar.
I've been playing since I was three years old... which would be 11 years now. I play entirely by ear. I took piano lessons for about two years when I was eight, but I could never seem to "get" how to read music. I'm starting to try to teach myself again, though. I think it would really help to be able to read music.
I have an old acoustic piano, and a keyboard (I'm not sure exactly what kind. It's a Yamaha). I play mostly John Tesh and Yanni (alternative) stuff on the piano and save the CCM music for the guitar.
Amy

| Same here Amy, i taught myself how to play when i was 4, and then how to read music a couple of years ago,
i like mostly classical music, but i do play in youth group once in a while.
My fav song to play is Pathetique, by Beethoven. |
