For all you screamers out there...

Thanks to flyguy the VAT now has great advice on how to scream as well as the links to the two threads that offer even more advice! See VAT-10. So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stop asking us how to scream!

Very useful thread! Feature request: Could you make each numbered item into a link that jumps to the appropriate section? And then at the end of each section another link that will jump you back to the top of the page (like how some webpages have anchors for this kind of thing)?

Sure! To make something an anchor, use this:

<.A NAME="anchorname">Label<./A>

Where the anchorname is whatever you choose it to be (like "number_1" for the what is my range section), and the Label is what you want the user to see (the actual text "What is my range")
For example, in this case you could:

<i><.A NAME="number_1">1) What is my range? What are the different Vocal types?<./A>

The four main classifications are Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass. When four part music is...</i>

This adds an anchor to that section; then, at the top of the page, you want the "table of contents" area to link to it, so you would use:

<.A HREF="#anchorname">Label<./A>

For example:

<i>
<.A HREF="#number_0">0) Vocal ABC's<./A>
<.A HREF="#number_1">1) What is my range? What are the different Vocal types?<./A>
<.A HREF="#number_2">2) How do i sing from my diaphram? How do i sing with more support?<./A>
<.A HREF="#number_3">3) How do I learn to sing harmony?<./A></i>

and so on for each number.

BTW, I put a period before the A HREF tag just so that the post wouldn't recognize the HTML and you could see what was going on; you would take all periods out of the tags for the actual HTML.

Alright, looks good! Now, for link to top, put an anchor at the top of the table of contents. You don't have to give it a label:

<.A NAME="topofpage"><./A>

And then after each section you can put a "back to top" link:

<.A HREF="#topofpage">back to top<./A>

It looks like the underline was included in the anchor tag? Is the closing tag right after the intended text? Other than that, awesome job. How <i>do</i> I scream like the guy from Linkin Park anyways

Edit: If you want, I did it so that the underlines aren't linked and I bolded the headings of each section. The text file with all the formatting is here:

Thanks again for assembling this stuff, very useful!
