Here are some artists that I consider Gospel Music and Psalmists

That means directly put scriptures in their music and make it the main theme

Its more than positive or situational christian music, most CCM-i can't stand that label but most are just postive pop, or situational gospel

David was a psalmist if you have the right type of bible it says as a heding before many pslams to a choir leader
ie back in the day they sang the psalms

If you hear a person reading the torah= old testiment- jewish laws in hebrew it sounds like they are singing its totally awesome, I'm not jewish but I love hearing people sing/chant/read/ the torah in hebrew, Just think Thats what jesus heard when he was in the temple

and during the greek times the scriptures were sung in latin cause most people didn't speak latin so it was eaiser to sing it
ex

domine domine ad aduvandume
"lord lord God assist me lord God" or something like that
a lot of the old hymnals are scriptured based

Its really something we have lost in this new CCM thing
but there are artist that still are pslamist and Gospel Music
