The harm of words is sometimes we don't quite know what they really mean...

Ok... time for me to start yet another journal. The other one (which is about two or three months old, at least) will just be sent to CPF. I will attempt to keep this one current.

In His love,
Nate

Today was a boring day. I had to replace the brake rotors, calipers, and pads on both of the front wheels of the car that I commute to school in. That took up a good part of my morning/early afternoon. I really didn't do much else after I got done with that. I basically just bummed around the house, 'cause it's spring break, and I can do that sort of thing. Yeah.

Well, I guess that's all for now. If anyone has any sort of questions or anything for me, that would be great 'cause it would spare me from having to tell you all the boring details of my life.

In His love,
Nate

I like lots of different stuff... but my favorite genre would have to be folk/folk rock. Some of my favorite bands are Caedmon's Call, Jars Of Clay, Downhere, and Third Day. Some of my favorite individual artists are Derek Webb, Rich Mullins, Chris Rice, and Jennifer Knapp. I am also really into electronic music. I have every Joy Electric album since Robot Rock; I also have two albums from The Echoing Green and one from House Of Wires. Besides these two genres (folk/folk rock and electronica/synth pop), I also like a lot of pop rock type stuff (but it has to be very melodic); stuff like Tree63, Paul Colman, and Everyday Sunday.

Well, that's all for now. Hopefully today will be better than yesterday. I'm about to go over to my girlfriend's house, and then later this evening we'll be headed across town to a friend's house for fried catfish. Yummy.

In His love,
Nate

12 Stones, P.O.D., Beanbag, and the list goes on and on.
I will assume that you play Keyboards. Do you play any

How'd you figure that out?

Well... I used to play alto saxophone and I can keep a pretty decent basic beat on a drumset. But other than that, nope... no other instruments. I sing when I have to, but I don't consider myself a very talented vocalist... soo.

In His love,
Nate

Hey Nate,
You should post a wav in the "Voice Thread" inside the CPF.

Ok, here are some links that should work.... let me know if you have any problems.

http://www.angelfire.com/weird2/cool...ing_in_D_1.mp3

http://www.angelfire.com/weird2/cool...ing_in_D_2.mp3

http://www.angelfire.com/weird2/cool...ing_in_D_3.mp3

http://www.angelfire.com/weird2/cool...ate_to_G_1.mp3

http://www.angelfire.com/weird2/cool...ate_to_G_2.mp3

The first three are all in D major - the latter two being actual progressions of common praise songs.

The last two start off in the key of D and modulate fairly simply to the key of G about halfway through. The modulations happen at about 1:00 into the song.

Let me know if you can't load them for some reason.

In His love,
Nate

Hmmm... the files are loading for me... but they don't make any sound. Let me know if you're having the same problem.
