I think I need to do penance for feeding this atrocious marketing machine. Any suggestions?

Anyone out there still not convinced this is viral?

It's a gimmick and I think it's going to backfire on Mr. Webb before it's all over with. If there really isn't some massive controversy with his label...then he is a liar...marketing gimmick or not.

I understand the viral marketing, but really... lying to a Christian market? Bad idea. And a bit disgusting.

For the record...I want to remind everyone that oldmangrady already has a song out (on Soundclick) that contains the word sh*t. Therefore...I am much cooler and controversial than Webb. That also makes me the first Christian artist to record a song with that particular profanity.

This is just too damned stupid.

It looks like he's hiding the clues via Twitter.

I hope he goes down in flames for this.

I tried not being cynical, and I got burned.

So, we should be accepting a counter-offer on a house on Wednesday. Then inspection, appraisal, and we should be set to go. We could potentially be in a new house for our anniversary (June 16th), but that's probably pushing it a bit. If all goes well, though, I don't think it'll be any longer than a month before we're out of this apartment and into the house. We'll see. Thoughts and prayers appreciated (and big trucks and able bodies if you happen to be in the New Orleans area in about a month... heh).

We signed the offer yesterday as planned. Inspection is next Tuesday.

Thought you guys might like to see a few pictures of the house:

I must amend my earlier statement.

Apparently, Over The Rhine, Vigilantes Of Love and Pedro The Lion have all recorded songs with the same word.

I guess I'm just a poser.

Oh, the humanity economy.

Apparently, yesterday was the largest surge in mortgage rates in years (maybe ever, according to some sources). We're being quoted a rate at least .5% higher than we were a week ago.

This won't be a deal-breaker, and we're still approved, but it sure would be nice to take advantage of "record low" interest rates rather than simply a "historically pretty good" interest rate.

Here's keeping my fingers crossed that Bernanke in his infinite wisdom insanity decides to pump more juice into the economy to keep interest rates artificially low for two weeks longer.

Don't give up just yet, Ben!
