| hmmm, my church uses Gosphel Light's program. This year we did SonHarvest County Fair (yuck...country music constantly) but it was fun. Best part was leading one of the kids I was teaching to Christ, and counseling 3 others. Fun! |

Well, I haven't updated this in awhile... so here goes, I guess.
Umm... I guess I don't have much to say. Bleh.
Yesterday, our band played a bunch of stuff at church. We did three songs in the morning service and about six songs in the evening service (it was our "Fifth Sunday Sing", which we have every time a month has five Sunday's in it). Also, yesterday was our youth group's spaghetti dinner/silent auction fundraiser. I think we made about $500-1000.
Umm... that's about it, I guess. Bleh... not much happening lately. Lots and lots of rain.
In His love,
Nate

The beauty of living further in land than you. The food's not as good, but at least the storms aren't as bad.

Anyways, today's been cool so far. I had a gig at a coffeehouse from 11 to 2 this morning/afternoon. I made $30, and got two free cups of coffee... along with a free travel mug. Yay.
I think I'm about to call Catherine and see if she wants me to come over... maybe we'll play some pedro or something. Fun stuff, that game called pedro... the only card game that cajuns know how to play. How strange.
In His love,
Nate

So really, "What is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?"
It's quite simple:
Drag on a body in a fluid is:
D = 1/2 (Cd*pi*r^2*rho*Vo^2) Cd = coefficient of drag of the swallow pi = 3.1415... r = radius of bird cross-section (approximating as a circle) rho = viscosity of air Vo = velocity For steady state flight, D (drag) = T (thrust), so:
------------------------------
| Vo = sqrt(T/Cd*pi*r^2*rho) |
------------------------------ |

Anyways... not much is up. Catherine just left, I think she's a little upset... but we won't go into all of that here 'cause that's none of your business.
Hmm... that's it, I guess.
In His love,
Nate

| Hey everybody. I am the only SM who isn't at the gathering, and I'm feeling sort of lonely at the moment... but that's ok.
Anyways, it's been a long time since I updated this thing, so here goes.
This week, me and my brother each made $45 for 3 hours of helping our youth minister's friend pack a moving truck. That was cool. Money is always good.
Tomorrow morning in church, my brothers and I are playing Benj's version of Rock Of Ages. That's going to be cool.
Ummm... there's not really much else going on right now. I'm waiting for my laundry to get done 'cause I don't have anything clean for church tomorrow.
Ok, that's it. Bye bye.
In His love,
Nate

| Weee.... not much going on right now.
I just got back from seeing The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen with Catherine. It was ok. Lots of good action scenes, I guess.... but VERY LITTLE plot or character development. To me, it seemed like the movie was almost over before it even really began. Very strange. Also, I'm not much for "comic book" style action or characters... and this movie seemed to be full of such things. In fact, the opening credits said "Based on the graphic novel by so-and-so"... I can only assume that a "graphic novel" is a fancy name for a comic book.
Yeah, anyways. Tomorrow is Tuesday, I'll be sleeping in... as I do every.... day in the summer.
Something is going on tomorrow night, though... but I can't remember what.
Oh well, if it's important I'm sure it will come to me eventually.
Good night all.
In His love,
Nate
